Self-Paced Learning •We update our material and courses so that our students benefit from a dynamic learning. •Courses are assigned based on students’ skills and progress where each student can learn on his/her own pace. •Our courses are always up-to-date, and are endorsed by strategic partners such as ICDL and CISCO. •All students are made aware of the number of courses or skills they have to master during the academic year • Parents can follow-up on their children’s progress on the school portal. The ICT Curriculum ICT Course structure The following course workflow is applied to assign an ICT course to a student : 1. Student cases: At the beginning of every academic year; students are either new or already enrolled. 2. Course Assignment: Once all the course material is completed, the student is assessed by completing his final project and assessment. 3. Moving to the next course: Assigning a new course depends on the previous assigned course result ICDL oThe ICDL certificate helps other parties recognize your children’s IT skills. It is an international certificate with no expiry date. oTo achieve an ICDL certificate, candidates must pass six exams, an exam per ICDL module. oAMSI schools are authorized testing centers of ICDL. Our students take their exams during school hours. oThe six modules are: oModule 1: Computer Essentials (File Management and ICT) oModule 2: Online Essentials(Web Browsing) oModule 3: Word Processing (MS Word) oModule 4: Spreadsheets (MS Excel) oModule 5: Using Databases (MS Access) oModule 6: Presentation (MS Powerpoint) Cisco Networking Academy oLearning Platform An exclusive online community supports active and engaged learning, career development, and collaboration. oAMSI schools are authorized testing centers of Cisco. Our students take their exams during school hours. oTwo Cisco Courses are offered at ISAS: oIT Essentials (High School Students) oCCNA (Elective Course) Advanced Placement oThe Advanced Placement Program® enables willing and academically prepared students to pursue college-level studies — with the opportunity to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both — while still in high school. oWe currently offer AP Computer Science A and we plan to offer AP Computer Science Principles. oComputer Science A emphasizes object-oriented programming methodology.
