Fantastic opportunity to become part of a Network Support team working within the financial sector. The role is for a three month
rolling contract based in London EC1.
You will come from a structured and mature (preferably, ITIL) technical environment. As well as having a passion for technology you
must be highly articulate, customer focused and have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
The consultant is required to join the Network proxy engineering team, whose responsibilities include performing engineering
evaluations, configuration, developing tooling and performing integrations for Bluecoat ProxySG proxies as well as other Network
technologies. The primary function of this role will be working alongside infrastructure operations teams in order to plan, manage,
monitor and troubleshoot various Bluecoat-related projects and Checkpoint related projects with associated tooling, such as
authenticated proxy, antivirus scanning, configuration management, performance and capacity analysis/planning. The role will
require the candidate to demonstrate real world exposure managing Bluecoat and Checkpoint technologies along with a deep
technical knowledge specifically in the web, infrastructure, and network space. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for
identifying and resolving problems using structured troubleshooting methods, tools, and techniques and writing documentation and
scripts accordingly and supporting projects associated to the Bluecoat and Checkpoint technologies.
Network Firewall Engineer’s core technical skills; Firewall; CCSE qualified, Extensive knowledge of SPLAT along with experience of
GAIA R75 onwards; Bluecoat; BCCPA - Bluecoat Certified Proxy Administrator; BCCPP - Bluecoat Certified Proxy Professional

Bluecoat / Checkpoint Architecture, Design, engineering and supporting services

Creation of Bluecoat & Checkpoint Security designs in support of project initiatives and enhancement
opportunities

Provide Bluecoat & Checkpoint Security design and engineering support to business projects

Implementation of signed off designs for Bluecoat and Checkpoint Firewall architecture

Third line technical support for all Networking product lines stated

Ongoing senior engineering support duties where required – Inclusive of on call and shift

This role requires a seasoned and experienced professional who is able to hit the ground running quickly. The candidate will
need to be fully CCNP and Bluecoat certified proxy professional accredited. The candidate will be experienced at network
architecture and design as well as hands on technical experience of the stated product ranges. They will be able to work as a
conscientious team player but also on their own initiative in order to achieve objectives. Each consulting engagement is
customized to serve the client’s unique needs and therefore requires a technically strong Consultant who is resourceful,
confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in design and deployment of Infrastructure solutions.
The successful candidate must be a U.K. Citizen and will be required to satisfactorily complete a UK Government Security
Clearance.
