Graphic designer is responsible for creating design solutions that have a high visual impact. The role involves
listening to clients and understanding their needs before making design decisions.
Their designs are required for a huge variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, posters,

organizations a visual ‘brand’.
A graphic designer works to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager. They develop

• PROJECT MANAGER
The primary duties of this position will independently manage all project management responsibilities
for information systems development and support efforts. Focus is on projects of extremely high risk, complexity
and visibility; which include resource allocation, all phases of a development life cycle, i.e. requirements,
analysis, design, programming, testing, and implementation planning. Frequent contact with all levels of client

The Operational Unit for Development Assistance
The Operational Unit for Development Assistance (OUDA) was established in 1992 in partnership between the
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and the United Nations Development Programmer (UNDP) initially aimed at
enhancing and strengthening the capacities of national institutions and national execution of external assisted
Projects, as well as developing a cadre of national professionals needed in order to apply development
assistance outputs effectively.
The Prime Minster decree no. 1752 / 2003 recognized OUDA as an independent technical unit with
self-sustained operational mechanism under the supervision of H.E. Minister of International Cooperation
mandated to foster national self-reliance in the administration of externally-assisted development projects,
maximize the utilization of foreign funds inputs and to develop a cadre of national professionals needed in order
to meet the growing national demand for productivity and competitiveness.
As per its initial mandate, OUDA aims to enhance the management and optimize the utilization of resources
especially external resources geared towards developmental activities, with accountability and transparency
to ensure ultimate efficiency, time-delivery, and cost-effectiveness and to exploit the knowledge revolution to
develop and implement programmers for human skills development and institutional capacity building to meet
Egypt growing demand for productivity and competitiveness.

The First in the Region
The United Nations Development Programmer (UNDP) in Egypt and the Operational Unit for Development
Assistance (OUDA) in 2014 establishment South-South Development Academy Egypt (SSDA Egypt) operating
as a chapter of the Global South-South Development Academy (GSSDA). South-South Development Academy
Egypt is the first national South-South Development Academy across the world and the first fully fledged entity
in the Middle East & African region to take part of the Global South-South Development Academy.
South-South Development Academy Egypt aims to foster national self-reliance, among other developing
countries by enhancing its creative capacities to find solutions to its development challenges through the
exchange of knowledge, and experiences, as well as sharing technical and human resources
.
The main objective of SSDA Egypt is to effectively contribute to sustainable development and become the
key knowledge hub for successful development solutions in the country to mitigate underdevelopment and
positively contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal.
One of the main functions of SSDA Egypt is to research and document successful development solutions for
the purpose of knowledge sharing and scaling-up. Scaling up or replicating an already existing development
solution ensures efficient outcomes as the projects are not in their start-up phase and their development
impacts can be calculated beforehand.
Based on national development priorities, solutions will be uploaded to the GSSD Academy solution center.
Mobilization of partnerships for scaling-up is another Egypt SSDA goal. Most promising solutions will be
packaged as pilot initiatives for adaptation and replication in other communities upon demand. SSDA Egypt
along with the UNDP, GSSDA and other stakeholders will collaborate toward visibility, partnership, support and
resource mobilization efforts to facilitate the implementation of pilot solutions.
