What services are available in Myanmar?

Myanmar has just started opening up roaming services with mobile operators outside
Myanmar. Singtel Mobile is one of the first few in the world who is collaborating with
MPT in Myanmar to establish roaming. MPT is currently offering voice roaming and
SMS roaming.

Can I send a SMS from Myanmar to a Singapore number?

Yes. Each outgoing SMS is $0.60 and receiving of incoming SMS is free.

Can I surf the internet on my mobile phone when I am travelling in Myanmar?
A3.
Currently, MPT-Myanmar has not enable data roaming. Once MPT is ready, we will
enable the service.

Why are you launching MPT- Myanmar when our usage is limited?

There is a lot of demand from our customers to be able to use roaming services in
Myanmar. To meet the needs of our customer, we have launch voice and SMS
roaming to help our customers stay connected.
