PATHFINDER This pathfinder has been prepared to help you find information and conduct research about Medieval Europe, also known as the Middle Ages, in the school’s library media center. The icon is labeled “Samoset Opac.” Electronic Databases Use the ABC CLIO World History/Ancient & Medieval Eras database accessible through the Virtual Reference Collection (VRC). When you open this database, click on “Topics” and scroll to “Medieval Europe, A.D. 500-1500” to find articles about Medieval Europe. You can also use the Grolier Encyclopedias (Americana, MultiMedia, New Book of Knowledge) and World Book Online databases accessible through the VRC. *HINT* When searching the encyclopedias use the search term “middle ages.” The VRC can be found on the library computers’ desktops. Click on the “Virtual Reference” icon or on the “Bookmarks for Samoset Library.” When you have opened the VRC, select the database you want to use and open it.
