Role:
Aterica is looking for an experienced, highly motivated Biochemist/Molecular Biologist to join our multidisciplinary and aggressive research and engineering team.
Some of the specific immediate and future responsibilities include:






Design, execution, analysis, and organization of physical and biochemical experiments
Formulation of concepts and models to drive experimental decisions and to explain results
Research and analysis of protein and related structures in naturally-occurring materials
Developing both lab and volume production analytical assay technologies and methods
Architecture, design, and prototyping of biochemical sampling and sensing products
Cost, stability, and reliability optimization of reagents for volume manufacturing

Requirements:
The candidate should have demonstrated experience in biochemistry and/or molecular biology in both academic
and industrial product development settings. Specific requirements include:











Solid background in physical or analytical chemistry AND biochemistry or molecular biology
Extensive hands-on experience in molecular detection methods, both in-lab and in-field
Working knowledge of protein biochemistry and surface chemistry
Demonstrated ability to rigorously connect theory with observations and results
Knowledge of environmental pollution measurements and detection methods
Extensive experience with laboratory protocols and safety
Highly creative, motivated, organized, and execution-oriented
Must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a highly technical collaborative environment
Demonstrated consistent ability to learn, apply creativity, and solve problems
Demonstrated planning and prioritization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
