To Start the Process
Contact Excelsior at www.excelsior.edu/contactus, 1-888-647-2388, or 518464-8500 to order registration materials and exam study guides or to find
Pearson Professional Center locations closest to you. You do not need to
be enrolled in an Excelsior College degree program to take an
examination at a Pearson Professional Center.

Bring to test
Two acceptable forms of ID including a photo ID. Refer to manual.
Arrival time
Be at the Pearson Professional Center 30 minutes before your test starts.
This will give you time to take the tutorial on how to use the computer
system before your test time begins.

Pearson Professional Centers in Maine:
Your picture will be taken as part of the test verification process. The
computerized tests generally last 3 hours, but you may leave when you
are finished. You will get your results immediately.
After comparing your test score to the USM’s passing scores for Excelsior
College (see our website at: www.usm.maine.edu/pla), submit the official
score report from Pearsonvue and payment to USM for $15 to: Excelsior,
100 Payson Smith Hall, 96 Payson Street, Portland, Maine 04104-9300.
Click on the “Reschedule a Test” button at the Pearsonvue homepage
and follow directions.
