FUND-RAISING OPPORTUNITIES FUND-RAISING to raise money for Order of the Arrow events such as NOAC. Panda Express – This fundraiser can be done multiple times. Here’s how it works: We pick a day, turn in our paperwork, and they send us a confirmation email. That email has all our information, and attached is a flyer with the details for the public. It is our responsibility to print that flyer and distribute as many copies as we desire. Customers place their orders, and hand the flyer to the cashier, who writes their total on the back. At the end of the day, they add up the sales from the flyers, and cut us a check for 20% of the proceeds recorded on those flyers. Arctic Circle – This one we decided to do on an individual basis. These are coupon cards usable at any Arctic Circle in the valley. They cost $1 in advance and you sell them for $5. The customer gets automatically for buying a card a free Ranch Burger, which is almost $5 in and of its self. Then there are 8 more coupons for buy one, get one free offers, dollar off offers, etc. You need to contact a manager at the Arctic Circle. Side note Arctic Circle does not check the expiration date. Papa John’s – This is another one that is for the individual. The card is good at all Papa John’s across the valley. The cards cost $1 and sells for $5 you get a free carry out small pizza for buying the card, and another eight discount coupons. My family’s favorite is the large pizza for the price of a small. And you can use more than one coupon at a time, at least at the West Jordan location. The advantage to this one is that Papa John’s will buy back any unsold cards from you for the original $1. You need to call the manager of any Papa John’s the day before you need them and tell them how many you need because they need to go to corporate to get them. Papa Murphy’s – This information is for the Papa Murphy’s in West Jordan, either on 7800 S and 4800 W or 9000 S and 3200 W. they claim to have a limited number on hand, if you need more than say 75 you need to call in advance. They only sell them in blocks of 25. They are a $1 apiece and sell for $5. This one is similar to the Papa John’s fundraiser.
