Welcome!
Have You Heard…?
The UCSD Libraries include 9 unique libraries.
Within the Geisel Library building, there are 4
libraries: Arts, Mandeville Special Collections,
Science & Engineering, and the Social Sciences
& Humanities Library. Through the Libraries,
you can tap into tons of information that you
won’t find anywhere else. Your UCSD ID card is
your library card.
• Librarians have specialized master’s
degrees in Library & Information Science.

• The Geisel Library building name is a
tribute to Theodor Seuss Geisel, a.k.a. Dr.
Seuss. We host a birthday party every year
in his honor on March 2nd.

throughout the Libraries. In Geisel, Floors 4-8
are quiet floors. There are small group study
rooms in the Science & Engineering Library in
Geisel, and on other floors, as well as at CLICS
and the Biomedical Library. Try the SI0 Library
for ocean views. Each library has its own
personality and unique study spaces - check
them all out to see which environment best
suits your study needs.
To print from any library computer, use your
