This
2
hour
workshop
has
been
developed
in
association
with
UK
Touring
Theatre’s
production
of
A
Doll’s
House,
which
is
touring
to
theatres
across
the
UK
in
Autumn
2014.
It
is
ideal
for
students
to
attend
prior
to
watching
a
performance
of
the
play.
The
workshop
is
led
by
two
professional
actors
from
the
UK
Touring
Theatre
cast.
All
our
actors
have
several
years
experience
of
running
workshops
for
schools,
and
will
also
be
able
to
answer
questions
from
students
about
the
acting
industry
and
life
as
a
professional
actor.
UK
Touring
Theatre
will
also
provide
a
full
education
pack
to
accompany
the
workshop;
containing
further
activities
and
practical
exercises
that
the
teacher
can
use
for
follow‐up
practical
drama
lessons.
Available
to
book
during
the
tour
period
only.
Maximum
25
students
per
workshop.
This
workshop
will
take
place
at
the
venue
on
the
performance
day
during
the
afternoon.
(Morning
workshops
are
also
available
at
venues
where
there
are
more
than
one
performance
date).
AIMS

theatrical
concepts
through
a
practical
exploration
of
the
themes
and
characters
of
“A
Doll’s
House”,
the
style
of
realism
and
the
text
of
the
play

develop
students’
practical
understanding
and
appreciation
of
Ibsen’s
ideas
and
themes
To
develop
a
variety
of
practical
rehearsal
and
performance
skills,
enabling
students
to
grow
creatively
and
imaginatively
in
devised
and
scripted
work

extract
from

and

dynamics

interpretation
in
performance

a
character
and
communicate
meaning

variety
of
vocal
and
physical
techniques,
facial
expression,
listening
and
response
• Demonstrate
a
more
advanced
level
of
performance
skill

development

their
acting
