Your job advertisement for a part-time position on the Nike, Inc website caught my attention a
few days ago, February 7th. My personal experiences both on and off the field plus my
knowledge of and loyalty to your brand directly relates to your needs for a sales associate.
Work Hard. Play Hard. These are words that I’ve lived by since entering the world of sports 16
years ago and continue to live by in my professional life. In the job advertisement, the position
asks for a natural leader and motivator. Leading a team to success on the field as a captain has
given me great communication skills while having the ability to work well with others. Also,
being on a team working toward one goal has shown me how hard work can pay off. On the
professional side, I managed a group of employees to provide excellent customer service and a
quality product at the Crystal Lake Park District for the past five years. Being promoted after a
year, I was given more responsibilities with overseeing that employees are on task, heavy cash
handling and preparing sales reports for upper management.
Nike is a brand that represents all athletes and the drive to succeed. My life-long passion and
dedication for sports has given me the opportunity to expand my knowledge on certain brands.
This is a brand that has been very much a part of my life since being part of the sports world.
Not only am I a full believer in what Nike is about, but I stand behind all of the products and am
a regular customer whether it be for clothing, shoes or equipment.
