Some very determined students from Tranby College raided the store’s toy aisles loading up trollies with goodies for children in need. The toys were bought with donated gift cards and the trolley dash helped launch Uniting Care West and Target’s Giving Box Appeal, which encourages people to buy gifts and make donations to help children who might otherwise have nothing to open on Christmas morning. The goods were delivered to the charity’s warehouse where they were wrapped and allocated to children. Last year Uniting Care West delivered toys to 1030 children. It also delivered 565 food hampers. Perth people can spread the Christmas spirit by heading to their nearest Target store and donating a toy or gift card to help out a child or family in need.
