Instructor Checklist Before Class Starts Check textbooks for condition and supply. Contact instructor committee to order new textbooks instructorsub@mycuep.org. Get room number and door code from Gayle Guthrie (gguthrie@fscj.edu) if applicable. Stop by Security at Kent Campus and get a faculty parking sticker. Update Syllabus. Email Syllabus to bridgesv@vystarcu.org for posting on mycuep.org. Email Syllabus to gguthrie@fscj.edu. Test your instructor log in for Artemis/Connections. Receive student roster by email from CUEP registrar Upon receipt of FSCJ contract sign promptly and return to gguthrie@fscj.edu. Set up Blackboard if applicable. Create new Grade /Attendance sheet in MS Excel. Create new Student Contact List or Contact Distribution List in Email. Review course curriculum. Make copies of handouts. Update training aides & PowerPoints. Save course documents/presentations to a thumb drive for use in class. Send out a welcome email to students. Create an extra credit assignment designed to encourage students to enroll for emails from mycuep.org. They can simply print out their registration and turn in for extra credit points. Make arrangements for guest speakers if applicable. Plan to introduce students to mycuep.org on first night of class. Emphasize email sign ups and graduation application procedure. Number your textbooks and print a textbook responsibility form for each student to sign out for their textbook. ** Following the 2nd week of class, please send an email to the Treasurer of the Advisory Committee indicating the class roster showing those students who have attended class through the second week of class. Each week Review homework assignments. Review lesson plan for next class. Save documents/presentation changes to thumb drive as needed. Prepare handouts. Update attendance/grade sheet. Review extra credits assignments if applicable. Notify gguthrie@fscj.edu and admin@mycuep.org of any student drops At Completion of Course Insure all students have completed emailed course evaluation. Insure all textbooks are returned. Complete final grade sheet spreadsheet and email to gguthrie@fscj.edu. Complete final grade sheet spreadsheet and email to glewis@121FCU.org.
