Vextrix Transport Moving Forward
Vextrix Management Ltd find themselves
in the fortunate position of being one of
the few companies who’s strengths
have shone through the economic hardship of the last few years and this growth
has continued. Our Transport department continue to shine and here, we are
proud that the majority of work is repeat
business, successfully delivering rail, bus,
car park and
depot projects with a
range
of
blue
chip
clients such
as National
Express,
Northern
Rail,
C2C
and
First
Transpennine Express.
We are currently delivering
a
range
of
schemes
from train station refurbishments, new
train stations, bus and train depot refurbishments and new depots, multi storey
car parks and surface level extensions as
well as a wide range of disabled access
improvements advising on schemes from
inception through to completion.
We have been able to assist three main
clients with the delivery of the National
Station Improvement Programme (NSIP) and
are looking forward to the new work that this
experience will help us gather.
Our specialist team are additionally assisting
clients with funding applications for new
works and the most recent win was the successful Northern Rail SCPF bid application.
Looking ahead, we are working with National Express Bus
& Coach in the
delivery of various
initiatives including
the installation of
Photovoltaic Cells
to the roofs of 10
of their garages.

In
addition
transport
works,
we are now seeing an increase in
commissions in the
commercial, education and power
sectors. We are
confident that the
green shoots we
have seen recently in the commercial sector
will flourish and in response to this now have
a dedicated commercial team which we
expect to grow throughout 2012 and 2013.
We are pleased to be able to announce
plans to open a Manchester office at the
beginning of 2013 and look forward to seeing our team grow further and beyond.
Congratulations to David Kenney MRICS
Senior Project Manager David
Kenney is the latest member of
the Vextrix team to pass his Assessment of Professional Competency (APC). David Says
“Passing my APC and gaining
Chartered Status was the culmination of years of hard work
and dedication which now
gives me full membership to the
Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors. It confirms my status
and gives clients confidence
that I work to a high degree of
ethics and professional standards.
Now the studying is over I am
looking forward to a skiing trip
with my wife to reflect and
charge the batteries ready for
more new and exciting projects in
2012. I intend to assist the younger
members of staff through their
studies, passing on my knowledge
and experience.”
John Williamson, Managing Director, congratulated David on his
achievement, “we look forward to
David taking on a larger role at
Vextrix in the future”.

New Projects, New Clients, New Contracts
2012 is shaping up to be
even better than our last
three years, with new projects, new clients and new
contracts already secured.
Rail clients continue to support Vextrix primarily, with
bus following close behind.
Vextrix Managing
Director,
John Williamson,
talks about 2012
Since the beginning of 2012
we have been actively raising our profile in the North
West market place and our
Quantity Surveying team
have found a niche in the
market, expanding on being
a strong medium sized firm in
the North West and working
with many consultants and
clients on commercial and
heavy civil engineering
projects.
The demand for our services
has spread by word of
mouth—always good to
have personal recommendations and repeat business,
and we are proud to fulfill
clients expectations and
more. But we have also expanded use of Social
Media such as our twit-
ter feed,
our Linked
In profile,
our Facebook page and are
looking into new emerging
avenues such as Google+ and
Pinterest.
Vextrix was established to be
progressive, forward-thinking
and give a totally client focused service across the UK,
but at a local cost, and it is
paying dividends. We are looking forward to the rest of the
year and are working towards
strengthening the order book
DDA Works Nationwide

Practice for Disabled People 2011 is an ongoing and common commitment for all
clients, and something that Vextrix Management take pride in being experienced in
assisting with.
We have recently completed the project management of £860,000 worth of DDA
compliance works for Northern Rail across 34 of their stations in the last seven
months.
Each station has differed in it’s individual needs whether this be handrails, shelters,
ramps, anti-slip surfaces, customer information points, lighting or lowered ticket windows.
If you require more information on this service, please give our team a call on

Vextrix MD Phil’s Triathlon for KIND
Following some rather ambitious New Years resolutions, a team from Vextrix Management
will be taking part in the Go Green Cheshire Triathlon on 27th May 2012 to raise money for
KIND.
Phillip Marsden is
completing a Triathlon to raise
funds for KIND
Phillip Marsden, Managing Director, says “Having recently become a father for the second
time, and proud to welcome the addition of my son Freddie to my family, it brings it home
to me how fortunate we are, and how other children are not quite so lucky. It’s a personal
achievement to complete this triathlon but also to raise awareness of a great charity close to our
hearts. The training is gruelling but we’re looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
KIND acknowledged Vextrix’ team’s challenge; “"We at KIND are both delighted and very grateful
that Philip has decided to support our work through his involvement in the forthcoming triathlon. All
monies raised by Vextrix will be used to help fund our forthcoming summer residential and summer
club activities for disadvantaged children within our community. Thanks to the support of friends
such as Phillip and his sponsors we can continue to make a real difference in many young lives".
Congratulations to the Marsden family and good luck with the Triathlon. Anyone wishing to donate
can do so c/o www.justgiving.com/vextrixcheshiretri2012. We will have results and pictures in our
