Mr.Vishwa Mohan Bansal - Chairman
Prof. V. M. Bansal is a former Civil servant. By education, he is a Journalist, an Electrical
Engineer, a Law Graduate and an MBA. He has headed key departments of highly sensitive
public undertakings like Punjab State Electricity Board, Pepsu Roadways, International
Airports Authority of India, Municipal Corporation of Delhi etc, in addition to being the
youngest and the longest serving Director of DDA for 11 years; Collector, Commissioner and
Secretary of DDA for 17 long years- where he served with utmost discipline, integrity and
commitment, starting with Asiad in 1982 to Common Wealth Games in 2010.
He started his career as a City Magistrate in Patiala, where he took back the famous Kaali temple of North–India from long
settled Pandas, and lodged criminal cases against the most feared political families of Punjab, when he was 24 years. At the
age of 25, he was the youngest, and till today the only Magistrate in India, to administer death warrants at 5 hangings.
He was picked up as the first senior officer of Delhi Metro on all India basis as the Chief of Personnel & Vigilance in 1996, much
prior to the appointment of the famous Sreedharan. Due to his daring and innovative management practices, he was the first
civil servant ever picked up by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, to head Lands & Commercial departments at all the
four International Airports of Delhi, where he cleared massive land encroachments by the dreaded mafia gangs and the most
well connected 5 star hoteliers, at the age of 38 years, in Bombay, Calcutta, Madras and Delhi. The credit for the present state
of Indira Gandhi Airport largely goes to him as he planted 5 lac trees at IGIA in 1988. He has been widely recognized for his
urban administration, public policy, & Governance practices and for innovative solutions to every problem. He has been the
Director, Commissioner and Principal Commissioner of every department of DDA and General Manager of ISBT Kashmiri Gate,
Sarai Kale Khan and Anand Vihar, which he constructed and commissioned in 1991.
He has guided several studies and projects of ICRA, IIPA (Delhi), ASCI (Hyd.), TCS, Ministry of Personnel, GOI, Ministry of Urban
Development, GOI, GNCTD, AIMA, UNDP. He has been associated with Consultancy Activities for AIMA, UNDP, Ministry of
Urban Development and IAAI.
Shri V. M. Bansal is now the Chairman of 23 year old New Delhi Institute of Management which is presently rated as the 15th Best
MBA school in India by the Business World and amongst the fastest growing MBA schools of Asia by the KPMG India in January
2014. Business India has put New Delhi Institute of Management in the highest category, above A++, for 3 years continuously.

Mr. Ankur Bansal - Vice Chairman
He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA)
from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. He started his professional career with Arthur
Andersen India and was later associated with Ernst & Young. In these organizations, he
worked in the capacity of a Consultant advising various multinationals on the regulatory
and strategic aspects of their businesses in India. Post his MBA, he worked with Bank of
America Securities, New York as an Investment Banker in the General Industrials Group,
advising clients on various M&A as well as Capital Restructuring issues. In mid 2008, he took
over as the Vice Chairman of 'New Delhi Institute of Management', a 23 year old premier
management institute in Delhi.
Dr. Gauri Modwel - Dean Academics
Dr. Gauri Modwel has twenty four years of rich academic and research experience. She has
worked in esteemed organizations, Research and Information System (RIS) for the NonAligned and other developing countries, Ministry of External Affairs and Indian Council for
Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Human Resource Development. She has written
several research papers in association with World Bank, SASAKAWA Peace Foundation,
Japan, Max-Plank Institute of Economics, Germany and George Masson University, USA and
Florida State University, USA. She has provided consultancy to the research institute,
Strategic Foresight, Government of Maharashtra, Ministry of Consumer welfare and World
Health Organization in the area of economic development & relations, Consumer welfare &
Business and economics of health.

students come from diverse backgrounds and collectively constitutes a potential resource which is very enthusiastic, keen on learning and has
the desire to accomplish every goal in line with the tradition maintained by our distinguished alumni passed out in the previous years. One of our
mission, amongst others, is to provide knowledge and technology based management education to satisfy the needs of the society and the
industry and thus help in building national capabilities in different specializations of management education and research.
NDIM campus provides unique opportunities to students to think big and come out with novel ideas. Ethos , team spirit and community service
are strongly imbibed in our students through student driven activities so that they develop great initiative and organizing abilities. Various
functional and recreational clubs help our students inculcate necessary leadership qualities, zeal and enthusiasm. Due importance is given to
the Personality Development Program which enable students to emerge as skillful and professional communicators to cater to the increasing
requirements of Global Business Environment.

New Delhi Institute of Management offers two year full time AICTE approved Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM)
which is declared equivalent to MBA by the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) and accredited by National Board
Accreditation (NBA), Govt. of India.

International students visiting India through different forums gather under one roof at NDIM for sharing their knowledge and each

Hands on Learning Abroad
NDIM is perhaps the only B-school in the country to offer 85 international projects of 6-8 weeks for its first year PGDM students.
Probably for the first time international opportunities of such vast magnitude have been offered to any B-school in India where
students actually work on projects abroad as part of their study. This provides immense learning of different cultures and
international skills.
International Projects have been offered to our students in Russia, China, Egypt, Cambodia, Bahrain, Romania, Germany,
Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan, Kenya and South Africa, out of which 15 have been with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) in Egypt
alone and with other renowned companies like European Aeronautical Defense and Space Company - Germany & Nokia Siemens
- Indonesia.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility Programme at NDIM is designed to impart the basic values which our 'Vedas' and 'Scriptures' have
enunciated to the students. The commitment of paying back to the society, a part of our earning/learning, which every Indian has
inherited, is the value system that we are trying to re-emphasize and re-visit as part of this subject.
Students are encouraged to take up innovative programmes and workshops underlining social, economic and environmental issues and
educate the public at large. The programme is designed to establish deep connect between students and their immediate environment.
The course requires each student to spend fixed number of hours, apart from the subject training, with a corporate house or an NGO to
learn and facilitate their CSR efforts.
