The Advanced Stock feature offers a number of extra stock control tools in addition to the standard functions:

Annual License Fee
QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions is subject to an annual license fee which will be charged for at 20% of the total value of
your software. This is a mandatory charge and it will include benefits such as a renewed support contract as well as any
new software updates and releases that are made available during that period. This license fee is payable one year from
date of registration of the package.

New! Advanced Pricing Module (Additional fees may apply)
Currently, the pricing functionality in QuickBooks is limited & extremely manual for those who have complex pricing
requirements:
•
You can only set price levels based on items and customers.
•
QuickBooks price levels must be updated manually when costs or base prices change. This is extremely time
consuming for long item lists.
•
Currently, the only way to apply quantity discounts is to do them manually or by creating multiple items in the
item list for each quantity of items. This makes reporting on sales of an item difficult and makes for a very
lengthy item list.
•
There is no way to create prices with a start or expiration date.
•
There is no way to create prices that are related to rep, class, item type, customer type or vendor.
•
There is no way to apply two price levels at once (e.g. wholesale price & seasonal sale)
The new pricing engine gives you:

More flexibility to create rules that better suit your business and saves time with more automated processes.
What can it do for you?

The new price rule window allows the setting of multiple conditions for each new price rule
•
Existing price levels are migrated over as new price rules, so all users are ready to go right away

Job Costing Improvements
Existing limitations within the QuickBooks Job Costing functionality are:
•
You have to create new customers (instead of jobs) if you have a separate sales rep for each job.
•
In order to filter reports for jobs with a particular status, you currently have to edit the list of jobs to select the
ones that you require. This means that you have to memorize the status of all jobs and work through a
potentially long list.
•
To create a WIP report, you have to export reports and data to Excel and put it together on your own. This
means that every time you want to update it, you have to re-create it yourself outside of QuickBooks.
•
To create a Committed Costs report, like a WIP report, you have to look up data in QuickBooks and create a
report in Excel. Like WIP, there’s no way to update such a report without recreating it from scratch.
With the improvements to the Job Costing Function, you can now save time with a more automated process:
•
You can track multiple reps per customer ( there is no need to create a new customer for each job)
•
You can filter almost any QuickBooks report to show jobs of a particular status only, such as ‘completed’ or ‘in
progress’
•
You can display a WIP report to see up to the minute information on expected and actual revenue for any jobs in
progress.
•
You can display a Committed Costs report showing information that was previously unattainable in QuickBooks
reports. The Committed Costs report adds purchase orders with no bills and unpaid wages for employees who
have spent time on jobs for a much more complete understanding of job costs.
Improvements on the “Build Assemblies” Function
•
Manufacturers with complicated assemblies that include subassemblies currently have to manually build all
subassemblies in QuickBooks before they can build a final assembly. This can be an extremely time consuming
process that also leaves a lot of room for error due to all the manual entry.
•
In addition, if a manufacturer uses the same component in many assemblies (such as a screw or bolt) and needs
to change that component to a different one (for example, of a different material or made by a different
manufacturer), the user currently has to open every assembly and look for the particular component in order to
replace it.
With the improvements in Assemblies you can now save time and improve the accuracy of assemblies and costing:
•
Automatically build all subassemblies needed for a final assembly at the same time that you build the final
assembly.

Offers a choice to use the total cost of the Bill of Materials (BOM) as the total cost of the assembly. In addition, if
the cost of one component goes up, you can choose to have QuickBooks automatically raise the cost (and the
price) of the assemblies where that component is used.
Provides a “Where-used” report for any component – this report will show all the assemblies in which that
component is used. You can then replace the component with another in some or all of the assemblies at once.
Minimum & Maximum Stock Levels
Currently, you are alerted when items reach their re-order point but you still have to calculate the quantity that you
need to order each time. For those who use the Automatic Purchase Orders (PO’s) feature, QuickBooks will create a list
of all items needing to be purchased, but again, users have to type in the quantity to buy based on their own
calculations before telling QuickBooks to create the PO’s. This is extremely time-consuming and increases the risk of
over or under stocking an item.
You can now save time by automating the process of re-ordering:
•
You can specify a maximum quantity that you would like to carry for a specific item/s.
•
Quickly enter maximum quantities using the Add/Edit Multiple List Entries interface.
•
Choose “Auto PO’s,” and QuickBooks will then suggest all PO’s needed as well as the quantities of all items
required. You will then review the suggestions, click OK, and all PO’s are created automatically.
