Collinwood Community T-Shirt Design Contest
We are thrilled to be opening an Intergenerational School in the Collinwood area and need your
help! We’d like a school t-shirt design that represents both our school and the local community
and invite local artists to participate in our t-shirt design contest for a chance to earn a $250
stipend and have your design used on our Lakeshore Intergenerational School community t-shirts!
Contest Details:
1. Create a design that captures the character of the
Collinwood neighborhood and incorporates the
name “Lakeshore Intergenerational School”.
2. Design should use one color. The t-shirt will likely be
sapphire blue in color, so the design will likely be
printed in white like samples shown here. The
design must be your own original, unpublished work
and must not include any third-party logos or
copyrighted material. By entering the competition,
you agree that your submission is your own work.
3. The t-shirt will be worn by families, staff and
volunteers of Lakeshore Intergenerational School
(LIS), a free, public charter school opening in the
Collinwood neighborhood at the St. Casimir Parish
school building. LIS is part of a successful, nationally
recognized high performing K-8 model. Learn more

4. Please email your design as a high quality graphic to
Eric McGarvey (emcgarvey@TISonline.org) no later
than June 15th at 4pm. Digital entries only: One
image to view for judging purposes and a highresolution image in .eps format is preferred. VECTOR
art entries in the following formats: .ai, .cdr, .pdf,
.svg, .wmf may also be accepted. Finalists and
winner will be notified within one week.
5. By submitting your design, you give permission for
Lakeshore Intergenerational School to use your
design, if selected, on the school t-shirts. Winner or
artist of design selected and used, will received a
$250 prize in the form of a stipend paid by check or
gift card within 4 weeks of selection.

No submission may include copyrighted material, intellectual property not belonging to participant. By signing this
form you agree to all contest rules and legal requirements. Winning design artist will receive a stipend or gift card
for $250 and their design will be used in the production of school t-shirts. Contest entries created by children
under the age of 18 will need to have their entry form completed in their parents’ name. A committee of three or
more staff members from both Lakeshore Intergenerational School and Northeast Shores, will judge all entries. All
entries will become the property of Lakeshore Intergenerational School and are subject to change and
reproduction without financial reimbursement, prior consent or recognition for the artist and/or parent/legal
guardian. Artwork of contest winner will be recognized as the work of said artist only once after the contest ends
on our website and Facebook; any further recognition will be to the discretion of Lakeshore Intergenerational
School.
