Services Berhad (“MYEG”) has teamed up with ESPN STAR Sports’ SportsCenter Malaysia to run a viewers’ choice home video contest dubbed “Catch Your Best Shot on SportsCenter”. The contest was officially launched today by Datin Paduka Seri Rosmah Mansor. Also present at the launch was Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Minister of Youth and Sports, Malaysia. MYEG Executive Chairman, Dato’ Dr. Norraesah bt Haji Mohamad said, “Sports is physically demanding, but this contest aims to bring the element of fun into the activity. In many ways, we believe this contest would harness Malaysians’ creativity whilst enjoying a healthy lifestyle.” “This is MYEG’s initiative in helping Malaysians to not only cultivate an interest in all kinds of sports, but also to familiarize with multimedia and online applications. The most interesting sports video will be selected by a panel of judges from MyEG and ESPN STAR Sports and will be featured during an episode of SportsCenter Malaysia. There will be one winner every month and a Grand Prize winner. The winning videos will be shown on the last Friday of each month and the Grand prize video at the end of the competition. Monthly winners will walk away with exclusive ESPN STAR Sports premiums worth USD100, while the Grand Prize winner will win a trip for two to catch the action of the 2009 UEFA Champions League final in May 2009 – live in Rome.
