September 13 –18, 2015, Bengaluru, India CALL FOR PAPERS The seventh International Workshop on Signal Design and its Applications in Communications (IWSDA’15) will be held at Bengaluru, India, from September 13 –18, 2015. The IWSDA workshop series dates back to September 2001 in Chengdu, China, and since 2005 has been held every 2 years in Yamaguchi, Japan, Chengdu, China, Fukuoka, Japan, Guilin China, and Tokyo, Japan, respectively. The aim of the workshop series is to foster fruitful interactions among signal designers, coding theorists, cryptographic researchers and communications practitioners from all over the world. A special feature of this particular workshop is a session that will celebrate the 60th birthday of P. Vijay Kumar. Topics The topics of this workshop include, but are not limited to, the topics listed below: Big Data Analytics Coding for Communication and Storage Coding Theory Combinatorial Structures for Code & Sequence Design Communication Theory Complexity and Computation Theory Compressive Sensing and Sparsity Cryptography, Privacy and Security Detection and Estimation Network Coding and Applications Sequences Space-Time Codes Signal Design for Radar Signal Processing Wireless Communication and Networks Important Deadlines Manuscript submission: May 15, 2015 ,June 14, 2015 Acceptance notification: July 10, 2015 Camera-ready submission: August 1, 2015 Advanced registration: August 10, 2015 Paper Submission Papers presenting new results in the above areas are hereby solicited. Only electronic submissions n PDF format are accepted. Each submission must be at most 5 pages in length and conform to the double-column IEEE conference proceedings format (style file and templates can be downloaded from http://sist.swjtu.edu.cn/imc/iwsda15/.). Full papers of up to 5 pages can be submitted with the above format via https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iwsda2015. Submissions should contain enough detail for peer review and must not substantially duplicate work submitted to another journal or conference proceedings. If you would like to be considered for the special session to celebrate Prof. Vijay Kumar birthday, please append the phrase “To be considered for the Special Session celebrating Prof. Kumar’s birthday”, to the abstract on the submission page. Conference Proceedings It is planned to have the conference proceedings of IWSDA'15 published by IEEE Press and be indexed by the Engineering Index (Ei). It is also planned to have selected full papers published in a special issue of the IEICE Transactions on Fundamentals. Further Information For camera-ready submission requirements, preliminary technical program, excursion arrangements, etc., please visit the official workshop homepage at http://sist.swjtu.edu.cn/imc/iwsda15/. -------------------------------------------------------- In cooperation with IEICE, and NSFC. It is also planned to obtain technical co-sponsorship by IEEE. About Bengaluru Previously known as Bangalore, this city is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in India, and is widely regarded as the Silicon Valley of India. Its location at an elevation of 3000ft makes for a climate that is pleasant for most of the year.
