Report of the ISTE – Students Chapter inaugural function conducted in Velammal

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) – Students Chapter was inaugurated
in Velammal Institute of Technology, Panchetti, on 6th March 2014. Dr. D. Karunakaran,
Secretary, ISTE welcomed the gathering and briefing the various National and International
ISTE activities to the students.
Dr. T. Chandrashekar, Principal delivered the presidential
address and urged the students to enrich themselves and become well equipped to face the cutthroat competition prevailing in today’s world of technological advancements. The chief guest,
Mr. SevugaPerumal in his address motivated and inspired the students by exploring the job
opportunities in cloud computing and Big data. Mr. T. Niruban Balu, ISTE coordinator of the
college delivered the vote of thanks.
