ISTE STUDENTS CHAPTER ACTIVITY
Poornima College of Engineering under ISTE student chapter activity organized “TREE
PLANTATION AND ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION” on 20th September, 2014. The
activity of tree plantation proved to be very fruitful in two ways i) the students got awareness
towards the environment and ii) they came to know the importance of trees in their life. In this
activity more than 50 plants of fruits and flowers were planted with the motto to make our
mother earth and environment more beautiful and a pleasant place to live in. Mrs. Renu Singhi,
Advisor P.A.A. and Dr. Om Prakash Sharma, Director PCE appreciated and motivated students.
They communicated the students about the relevance and importance of plant to save
environment.
The topic of the Essay Writing competition was “HOW COULD INDIA BECOME GREEN
AND CLEAN”. The essence of the essays received truly shows the keenness of the disciples
towards our INDIA. The top three rankers of the competition were awarded with the cash prizes.
Other participants were also motivated by Dr. Om Prakash Sharma for indulging more efforts to
work well in future.
