K-12 ‘Return on Intelligence’ Gift Programs
Ridgefield Park, New Jersey (February 5, 2013) – Samsung Techwin America’s Electronic

announced the 2013 Samsung K-12 ‘Return on
Intelligence’ Gift Programs. “Our intent with these
programs is to help raise the knowledge level of K-12
students across the country and ultimately help them be
successful in their scholastic pursuits,” said Richard
Bellomy, V.P. of Sales for Samsung Techwin’s Electronic
Imaging Division. “It is our way of investing in the young
minds of our youth and to help them grow and learn using

Superhero Program:
There are two Superhero Program competitions for the year (Winter/Spring and Summer/Fall)
and each student who wins gets $500 and their class receives a SAMCAM 760 document
camera. It is a fun competition encouraging students to discover themselves while preparing a
1-3 minute digital video with them portraying their favorite historical character. Deadlines for
entries are May 31, 2013 (Winter/Spring) and November 30, 2013 (Summer/Fall).

Scholarship Program:
Five (5) high school students have the opportunity to each earn $1,000 scholarships by writing
up to a 300 word essay answering the question ‘What do you think about technology
advancements and how they will change the way we learn in the future? Is it for the better?’
The essays will be judged on original thinking, relevance to the real world, and the writing
quality. The deadline for submissions is May 15, 2013. samsungscholarship.com.
Grant Program:
Teachers can enter to win one of ten (10) SAMCAM 760 document cameras for use in their
school by writing a fun lesson plan, in 100 words or less, using the SAMCAM 760.
Applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of judges. The top 20 finalists will be
notified and asked to submit a video showing their lesson plan in the classroom with the
SAMCAM 760. Ten winners will then be chosen based on their final video submission. The
deadline for submissions is May 1, 2013 and the deadline for video finalist submissions is May
