Services to Help You Succeed
Student Health Services includes access
to physicians, nurse practitioners and physician
assistants, nutrition consultations, anonymous
Q&A for health-related questions and fee-based
pharmacy, laboratory, massage and other services.
Immigration and Visa Support - OSU’s
International Student Advising and Services office
provides support and guidance on maintaining
immigration status. Advisers are available by
appointment or drop-in.
Language Advisers are available to assist
new and prospective students and parents who
may not be able to communicate effectively in
English. They also support students throughout
their time at INTO OSU.
Orientation is required for all students and is
essential for preparing new students for success
at OSU. Information about maintaining your visa
status, health requirements, insurance coverage
and class registration is covered in orientation.
Public Safety - The Department of Public
Safety and Oregon State Police provide a safe
campus for OSU students, faculty, staff and visitors.
State troopers and public safety officers patrol the
campus 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Academic Success Center - The Academic
Success Center offers advising for undeclared majors,
supplemental instruction (study tables) for some
classes, study skills courses and a computer lab.

Sports and Recreation
Whether you’re a sports fan or an athlete, you will enjoy highexcitement, high-profile NCAA Division I, Pac-12 Conference sports.
Tickets for all sporting events are free for all students. Oregon State
University is a frequent participant in NCAA football post-season
bowl games, and the OSU baseball team won back-to-back national
championships in the College World Series in 2006 and 2007.
OSU is proud to have had a number of talented international athletes
in its programs over the years, with an average of 40 international
athletes out of 500 each year. Most notably, Saori Haruguchi from
Japan in swimming, Diego Velazquez from Colombia in golf, Leslie Mak
from Canada in gymnastics, and Danny Mwanga from the Democratic
Republic of Congo in soccer, among many others.
Athlete selection and scholarships are determined by the coaching staff
and are highly competitive. NCAA eligibility rules apply.

INTERNATIONAL LIVINGLEARNING CENTER
The International Living-Learning Center (ILLC)
opened its doors in September 2011, bringing
international and domestic students together to live
and learn in the heart of the OSU campus. The new
building includes residential accommodations for
more than 300 domestic and international students,
26 classrooms, a large auditorium, computer labs, a
café, market and comfortable open spaces where
students can socialize.
