GOAL: The goal is to understand how any alteration in the normal functions of the nervous system affects the function of the whole system. PREREQUISITES: Mammalian Physiology, Neurobiology, or Cellular & Systems Neuroscience (R120:340, R120:346, or Biol 447). Instructor will have 75% of value (power points and written mini-review works), with student evaluations worth 10% of complete grade. A cumulative final exam worth 15% will be administered at the end of the semester during the final exam period. Teams of 2 will prepare the power points with a lecture length of 45minutes, followed by discussion time by audience and Instructor. Additionally, on an individual basis, you will have to submit a 5-10 page minireview of the topic covered. These papers will be submitted to Turnitin.com via MOODLE for review and for academic integrity validation. Plagiarism is defined as the act of using another person's words or ideas without giving credit to that person! This is an HONORS course and there is zero tolerance!!
