If the answer to this question is “yes”, then a Block Schedule is for you! Block schedules create sequential links to courses that are strategically grouped to meet student needs or that are common prerequisites for degree and certificate programs. As such, students will benefit from being grouped in a cohort of students with similar academic and career aspirations. Ask a College Advisor about a Block Schedule designed with your future in mind! NEW STUDENTS Welcome to MXC! After you take your COMPASS placement exam, ask a Testing Coordinator if you are eligible for a block schedule. If so, skip all of the lines and enjoy priority registration when you enroll in any block schedule. Visit the Advising Center and let an Advisor know you want to enroll today! DEVELOPMENTAL EDUCATION BLOCK SCHEDULE Block schedules allow for easy registration in all of the courses that keep you on track to completion. Please review your COMPASS scores and enroll in the blocks that match your placement courses. NOTE: You must enroll in all courses of a block. If any student is partially enrolled or drops an individual course prior to the first week of classes, then the student will be automatically dropped from all courses.
