SCHEDULE FOR AP REVIEWS January Review Session Frequent Questions Week 1: 1/13 & 1/14: Chapters 1& 6 “Approaches” Week 2: 1/21 & 1/22: Chapter 12 “Personality” Week 3: 1/28 & 1/29: Chapter 13 “Social Psychology” When and where will these sessions take place? - Time: 2:45 to 4:00 (open to ALL students) - Location: TBA - Day of week: usually Wednesdays & Thursdays (check dates on the left to be sure) What if I need to leave early or arrive late? - You must be on time…the door will be locked after 2:45 - You must stay from 2:45 to 4:00 in order to attend a review session. *You must make arrangements to stay until the very end of the session. There are too many students in AP psych for us to have the distractions of students coming in and out of the classroom. Sorry! What do I bring with me to a review session? - All the materials you have for that specific chapter being covered - Barron’s review book - Pencil, pen, paper…the usual What will we be covering? - We will briefly cover all the terms and people - We may have a demonstration to explain an important concept - We will cover practice questions - We will end by completing an FRQ which will count as your credit for the review session - We will cover the same material Wednesday and Thursday so you only need to attend one What do I get if I attend a review session? - Each student who attends the review will contribute one point towards their district for our Hunger Games competition! - If you attend 6 review sessions within a nine week period you will review an “A” in the exam category - Most importantly this is a chance to review topics that you may have had a difficult time understanding the first time around - This is also a great way to just review topics that we may have covered months ago and have been forgotten over time How do I receive credit? - You must remember to sign in. No sign in = no credit - You must complete the FRQ assigned for that day within the 25 minutes allotted - You will not receive credit if you fail to pay attention i.e. Cell phone, talking, sleeping, daydreaming, etc. February Week 4: 2/3 & 2/4: Chapter 3 “Biological Bases of Behavior” Week 5: 2/11 & 2/12: Chapter 4 “Sensation and Perception” Week 6: 2/18 & 2/19: Chapters 15 & 16 “Disorders & Treatments” Week 7: 2/25 & 2/26: Chapter 2 “Research Methods” March Week 8: 3/4 & 3/5: Chapter 9 & 14 “Testing & Stress” Week 9: 3/10 & 3/11: Chapter 7 “Memory” Week 10: 3/18 & 3/19: Chapter 8 & 11 “Thought & Development” April Week 11: 4/1 & 4/2: Chapter 10 “Motivation” Week 12: 4/8 & 4/9: Chapter 5 “Consciousness” MOCK EXAM: Saturday April 11th Week 13: 4/15 & 4/16: Review wrap MOCK EXAM: Week of April 20th – 24th TBA Week 15: 4/28 & 4/29: Review wrap up
