I'm not a big "by the numbers" kind of person but we provided more services to more clients and engaged more volunteers than the prior year which is always a goal of mine. Corporate support for our program is also growing again as everyone is working through this new economic reality we now live in. In the past few years, our programs have financially benefited from our local home foreclosure issue through donated and discounted homes from various banks which we repaired and improved and then sold to first-time low-moderate homeowners. This allowed us to stabilize our agency and actually grow. We started a new program this year to build wooden handicap ramps for low-income homeowners in mobile homes called The Arizona Ramp Project which we already have received funding to pay for materials and Corporate Teams are lining up to help us build them. So all in all, our agency is in good shape going into a new year. As we tell our volunteers, "You cannot do all the good our community needs, but our community needs all the good you can do" and we want to work with you to support your efforts. We are not put on this earth to necessarily be successful but rather to be significant and we hope by working on our projects, helping our less fortunate neighbors, you will feel that you were significant at least for that one client. Thank you for your support. Dennis Flynn, Executive Director 2012-2013 Programs Child Help – October 2012 - Child Help is a single source stop for children overcoming abuse.
