Braid
Row 1 (Right Side): With A, ch 3; (3 dc, ch 3, 3
dc) in 3rd ch from hook; turn.
Row 2: Ch 3, (3 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) in ch-3 space
of last row; turn.
Repeat Row 2 until 36”(91 cm) from
beginning. Fasten off.

What you will need:
RED HEART® Super Saver®:
1 skein each 389 Hunter Green A,
706 Perfect Pink B, 505 Aruba Sea
C, 316 Soft White D, 324 Bright
Yellow E, 319 Cherry Red F and
672 Spring Green G.
Embroider 4 French knots evenly spaced
across the bottom front of each frosting: E on
B, D on C, C on D, B on G and G on E.
At end of Row 16, fold in half and slip st through
back loops of Row 16 and beginning ch, making
a circle. Fasten off leaving long end of yarn.

Row 1: Ch 8; sc in 2nd ch from hook and each
ch across; turn – 7 sc.
Rows 2-16: Ch 1, sc in back loop of each sc
across; turn.

Absolutely yummy, this cupcake garland can
deck the halls for the holidays or birthdays!
So easy to crochet, they’re fun to decorate
with embroidered accents.
Frosting (Make 1 each B, C, D, E and G)
Round 1: Ch 2; 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; do
not join but work in continuous rounds.
Round 2: 2 Sc in each sc around – 12 sc.
Round 3: [Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6
times – 18 sc.
Round 4: Sc in each sc around.
Round 5: [Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 6
times – 24 sc.
Rounds 6-8: Sc in each sc around.
Round 9: [(Sc, hdc, dc) in next sc, skip next sc]
12 times, slip st in next sc. Fasten off.
Flatten Cupcake Paper and sew bottom seam.
Put a tiny amount of stuffing inside. Put a
tiny amount of stuffing in frosting and flatten
frosting, then sew frosting in place, easing to
fit, placing B frosting on G paper, C frosting on
D paper, D frosting on B paper, G frosting on E
paper, and E frosting on C paper.

Large Flower Center (Make 4)
With E, ch 2; 8 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join
with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off.
Petals (Make 2 F and 2 D)
Round 1: Working on Flower Center, join yarn
in back loop of any sc with a sc; sc in same
st as joining sc, 2 sc in back loop of each sc
around; join with a slip st in front loop of first
sc – 16 sc.
Round 2: Working in front loops only, ch 1, dc
in same sc as slip st, (dc, ch 1, slip st) in next
st, [(slip st, ch 1 dc) in next st, (dc, ch 1, slip
st) in next st] 7 times.
Round 3: Working in remaining back loops of
Round 1, ch 1, [(slip st, ch 2, tr) in next st, (tr,
ch 2, slip st) in next st] 8 times; join with a slip
st in first slip st. Fasten off.
Sew assembled flowers and cupcakes to
Garland as shown.
