“A DEMON’S DESTINY: THE LONE WARRIOR” (Sci Fi)
SERIES SYNOPSIS: Can you battle evil when you're evil itself? This web series revolves
around Kennedy-- a half-demon determined to save the world from the coming Demon Invasion.
Creator:
Devin Rice wrote a spec script trilogy for “A Demon’s Destiny” when he was 15 and ever since
it has been his dream to see his big-budget film franchise come to life. Last year, he decided to
take matters into his own hands and write a prequel to the trilogy called “The Lone Warrior,”
shoot it himself and produce it for the web. He plans to raise awareness and popularity of the
show so that he can garner attention and give life to his film franchise. Rice is 23 years of age
and has produced other web pilots and short films over the past few years, written numerous
screenplays and short stories since a very young age. Currently, Rice is a working actor in Los
Angeles. He worked as a content producer at Yahoo! Media Group for 3 years and recently
finished his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science at California State University,
Northridge. This is the first screening of any of his projects.

“Tough Love.” Abiola's daily column "The Kiss & Tell Report" is the top Sex & Relationships

essays have been published in bestselling anthologies. Abrams has also written for publications
such as Self Magazine and has been written about in publications from Gawker and The

Kristal Mosley graduated from the Art Institute of Houston. While in Texas she worked
alongside production companies and talents such as Hype Williams, TLC, VH-1 and The
Discovery Channel. In New York City, Kristal worked with MTV and VH-1 realty based shows
such as “Room Raiders,” “Celeb-Reality,” “Human Giant,” and “Celeb-Head,” along with other
series currently airing. Mosley continues to collaborate and produce cutting edge and informative

SERIES SYNOPSIS: A dramatic series that follows the lives of the residents of Anacostia, a
small residential community in Washington D.C. as they navigate through love, sex, betrayal,
and murder. Each character has his own share of vices and secrets which threatens to destroy
their peaceful community and all that surrounds it.
Creator:
Anthony Anderson, born and raised in Washington D.C., has appeared in the Independent Films
“Misunderstandings” and “Choices,” and also appeared in the DMX music video for the hit song
“Get It On The Floor.” Anthony has worked on projects such as “Head of State”, Directed by
Chris Rock and HBO’s “The Wire.” It was during this period that Anthony realized that it was
time for yet another change. The result became the development of his own production company
Southeast Boy Productions and his first Feature Film project that he wrote and produced titled
“The Ties That Bind.” It wasn’t long after when Anthony decided to create another show using
the homegrown talent of Washington D.C., that project would become “Anacostia,” an edgy
online soap opera set in the nations capital. “Anacoatia” won the 2009 Independent Soap Opera
Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Web Series and was additionally nominated in three other
categories.

“ANYONE BUT ME” (Drama)
SERIES SYNOPSIS: “Anyone But Me” is a critically acclaimed web-series about New York
city teens coming of age in the 21st century. Realistically portraying the issues and daily
struggles of Generation Y, “Anyone But Me” depicts the concerns of real-life teens such as
sexuality, racial identity and the family dynamics present in today’s society. When sixteen-yearold Vivian McMillan has to move from New York City to the suburbs, her past and present
relationships are tested as her identity goes through seismic changes.
Creators:
Susan Miller is an Obie award-winning playwright and Guggenheim Fellow, author of the
critically acclaimed “My Left Breast; A Map of Doubt And Rescue” (Susan Smith Blackburn
Prize), and “Nasty Rumors And Final Remarks.” Some of Miller’s other plays include
“Sweeping The Nation,” “ For Dear Life,” “ Flux,” “ Confessions of A Female Disorder,” “ It’s
Our Town, Too,” and “Reading List.” Her plays have been produced by The Public Theatre,
Second Stage, Naked Angels, New York Stage and Film, The Mark Taper Forum, and
Louisville’s Humana Festival. A Consulting Producer/Writer on “The L Word,” and
“Thirtysomething,” Miller’s screen work includes original screenplays for Disney, Universal,
Warner Bros., Fox 2000, as well as the Indie Film, “Lady Beware,” starring Diane Lane. Her
short, “The Grand Design,” was directed by Eric Stoltz. Miller, along with creative partner, Tina
Cesa Ward, writes and executive produces the hit web series, “Anyone But Me.” Miller was
recently honored as one of Power Up’s 2009 “Ten Amazing Gay Women In Show Business.”
Tina Cesa Ward is a writer and director for the screen and also directs for the stage. Her stage
work earned her the Jean Dalrymple Award for Best Director in 2002. Her 2003 short film “In
Their Absence” has screened in over a dozen festivals around the world and was awarded five
times both domestically and abroad. Two other short works, “Thank the War” and
“Salutatorian,” have each brought home festival awards. In 2004, Tina directed the successful
New York premiere of Colin P. Delaney's “The Red Mollies” which Tina adapted into her first
feature film “Red Molly.” Currently, she is the executive producer, writer and director of the
multi-award winning web series, “Anyone But Me.” She has been nominated for her work as the
show’s director two times including this year’s Streamy Awards, where she is also nominated
along with Susan Miller for writing. Tina and Susan also won two Indie Soap Awards for their
writing work on ABM. With her work on the stage, screen and for the web Tina has been
awarded nearly a dozen times.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: A hilarious and satire web series that parodies the world's most famous
bible stories with a wicked comedic twist. In twelve episodes of season one, we go over the
basics of the Old Testament.
Creator:
Steven Christopher Parker came to Los Angeles at the age of 12 to pursue an acting career.
After several years of auditioning he booked his first big role. A lead in 20th Century Fox's
basketball film "Rebound." Since then he has secured roles in 15 major motion pictures
including "Juno" and "Blades of Glory," a series regular role for an ABC pilot and 16 national
television commercials. Most recently Steven acted as Dr. Harold Zelinsky for the 14th season of
NBC's "ER" and did a supporting role for Lions Gate's upcoming film "Mother's Little Helpers."
As a producer/director he has filmed two short films and the “Bible Cliff Notes” web series. He
is currently in pre-production of his next production. A popular culture based web series called
“My Obsession with TV.”

SERIES SYNOPSIS: A high school teacher in Santa Barbara feeds her neurosis by working
weekends in Las Vegas.
Creator:
Perry Lang started working in film as an actor at 17. Perry has acted in over thirty films and
seventy hours of television. His film work includes Sam Fuller’s “The Big Red One,” Steven
Spielberg’s “1941” and John Sayles’s “Sunshine State” as well as “Eight Men Out” where Perry
played one of the indicted eight who threw the 1919 World Series. His Television work as an
actor includes “MASH,” the title character in the Emmy winning television special “Hewitt’s
Just Different,” “A Rumor Of War” and numerous guest appearances, including many projects
that he has himself either written or directed. As a writer and director, Perry started writing on
“Tales From The Darkside” in New York. Among a number of studio assignments, he wrote the
first film he directed, “Little Vegas” then rewrote the second, the Action Adventurer; “Men of
War.” Since then Perry has started 3MinutePictures.Com (where “Blue Belle” is the first show)
and directed many hours of television including “NYPD Blue,” “ ER” “Alias,” “Weeds” and
this year’s popular new series “NCIS: Los Angeles”. Perry lives with his family in Santa
Barbara, California.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Dating Games is an interactive comedy web series centered around the
relationships of three twenty-something women.
Creators:
Adriane McClean is a graduate of Treasure Island Culinary Arts School in San Francisco where
she excelled as a pastry chef. After graduating she moved to Las Vegas, NV to work behind the
scenes in the casinos but was encouraged to do some modeling on the side. As a child she hosted
the morning news at her middle school and interviewed city council members on a public access
show. At an early age she was very comfortable being in front of the camera. With the experience
of fashion shows and convention work under her belt, Adriane decided to pursue her first
passion; acting. She moved to Los Angeles to follow her dream. Being a vibrant young woman
with an outgoing and adventurous nature, Adriane succeeded in booking several commercials
and independent films after arriving in Los Angeles. And not being one to wait for opportunity to
find her, she has now started writing and producing her own projects.
Nicoya Davidson earned her Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Clark
Atlanta University in Georgia where her penchant for Music & Film first surfaced. It was a
Radio, Television, & Film class during her senior year at Clark that uncovered the deep passion
for Entertainment. After braving the corporate world for two years, Nicoya and her husband
crossed the country to give there everything to the Industry. She first garnered valuable comedic
experience in front of the camera at the legendary Groundlings School in LA. Nicoya soon
realized that she enjoyed the more creative aspects of production and leapt brazenly into writing,
directing, and producing. She is currently the Writer, Director and Co-Producer of the internet
show “Dating Games” and is currently working on her second full length feature film project.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Sasha Cross (Denise Jaxon), an up and coming political figure in Los
Angeles, campaigns to rid her district of the overflow of crack houses and the marginalized
characters that frequent them. Her street-wise campaign manager, Cyrano Neil (Robert Lewis
Stephenson) has his own agenda and knows to well her double life, which includes a drugaddicted twin. Cash Boone (Eddie Goines), the drug lord Sasha's out to bring down, holds the
key that could save her from the career crippling double cross.
Creator:
Denise Jaxon a native of St. Louis, Missouri, began writing poetry in middle school and soon
began to craft short stories, plays, and ultimately screenplays. She earned a Bachelor of Science
degree in Electrical Engineering from Grambling State University. She began working for MCI
Telecommunications where she quickly rose through the ranks to become Manager of Network
Engineering and later Sr. Manager of Latin American Ventures. Growing bored with fiber optic
design and longing to pursue her dreams, she moved to Los Angeles in 2002 to pursue acting and
writing. Soon after, she formed CreDo Entertainment and began producing her work and the
work of other talented writers. Jaxon is also co-owner in JP Creatives, a video production
company, and is currently attending National University where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts
Degree in Digital Entertainment and Interactive Arts. A talented actor with credits that include
“The Shield,” “ Chocolate News,” “ The Paper Trail,” “Man of the World” and “Double
Cross.” She is the writer/producer of “The Least of These,” “Progress and Peace,” “Lipstick,”
and the new Web Series “Double Cross.” Her producing credits also include the short films,

Creators:
E.J. Gage was born and reared in Los Angeles. He attended Centennial High School in
Compton, before enrolling in Cal State, Fullerton University, where he played football and
majored in Biology. After college he went to work as a Private Investigator/Body Guard/Bounty
Hunter, a career he enjoyed for several years; until he decided to put away his badge and pursue
his love of acting. In his 17 years in the industry he has had guest appearances on such television
shows as “The Office,” “My Name is Earl,” “That's So Raven,” “ER,” “Friends,” “Bones,”
“Mad TV,” “Malcolm in the Middle” (8 times) and “It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia” to name
a few. He has also appeared in such films as “Die Hard 4,” “Proud American,” “Remarkable
Power,” “The One,” “Money Talks” and “An American Crime.” Mr. Gage has written several
films and television pilots (two of which reached the semi-finals of the 2008 Page International
Screenwriting Competition), and is the creator, writer and star of the web series and soon to
be TV pilot “Ernie's Girls.”
Boris Schaarschmidt, after working in different areas of the film industry in Germany for
several years and winning numerous national and international awards for the short films he
directed, while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Cinematography at the University of Applied
Sciences in Dortmund, Boris came to the United States to attend the American Film Institute
(AFI). He graduated in 2007 with an MFA in Directing. He was awarded with an annual
scholarship from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Pat Hitchcock
O’Connell Scholarship Award for his AFI project “1916.” Boris was one of only a few directors
at AFI who was given the opportunity to direct two thesis films “Green” and “Spent.” Both films
did very well in the festival circuit. Boris is currently directing a series of webisodes called
“Ernie’s Girl’s.” He also just finished another short film called “Nordstern” and is in preproduction for the horror/comedy “The Devil In The Kitchen.”
Phyllis Toben Bancroft is a filmmaker, has worked as an actress, director and producer for
both stage and screen. Her short film “Spent,” which she co-wrote and produced, is one of
six finalists in the BET Lens on Talent: A Filmmakers Challenge. “Spent” has also screened
at over 20 festivals throughout the U.S.A., winning numerous awards. Phyllis has directed
over 25 plays, many of which were original scripts that she work-shopped and developed.
Playwright’s Horizons, Lincoln Center Directors Lab and the Smithsonian Institute, are
just a few of the venues that Phyllis has graced. She has also worked for at HBO and de
Passe Entertainment. Phyllis is a graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory
with an M.F.A. in Producing and holds B.A. in Creative Writing from Antioch University.
She studied theater at Boston University, Circle in the Square Theater School, Columbia
University and the Saratoga International Theater Institute.

Karen Bankhead grew up in an Air Force family, and majored in psychology. Acting credits
include “I Am Sam,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Little Richard,” “The Parkers,” “Will” and
“Grace,” “Gilmore Girls.” Karen has performed with Second City, the Groundlings Sunday
Company and the groundbreaking improv/sketch groups Hold the Cream and Foxy, Fine and
Funny.”Karen has written two short films produced through National University. Her latest
project is the educational play featuring Maya Angelou, Hattie McDaniel, Ruby Dee and Harriet
Tubman, among others. “Flies in the Buttermilk” schools a young girl about life and the “N”
word. Thanks to all of the precious church ladies who have crossed Karen’s path, plus one
afternoon when watching “Bubblin’ Brown Sugar” on PBS, “Etta Mae Mumphries” was born,
and doesn’t seem ready to die any time soon. Etta Mae is part of the award winning one-woman
show, the V-05 Experience and is also available for church functions, weddings, Bar/Bat
Mitzvahs, funerals, flea markets, and parades, so long as she can sit. Karen is grateful to God,
her sister Caroline, Mark, Mom, Tiger, her critters, and all of the “special friends” who make life

SERIES SYNOPSIS: Author/Activist/Filmmaker, Yasmin Shiraz, visits youth throughout the
country and talks to them about important issues that affect them. “Every Corner” is shot in a
documentary style with additional images.
Creator:
Yasmin Shiraz is an award winning filmmaker and President of Still Eye Rise Pictures. Her
company’s first production “Can She Be Saved?”—is a documentary that she wrote, directed and
produced—examines girl fighting among middle school girls and has received critical acclaim.
In addition to winning the Best Documentary category at the NC Black Film Festival, the film
was an official selection for the Women’s International Film & Arts Festival, The San Diego
Black Film Festival, Roxbury Film Festival, and DC Hip Hop Shorts Festival among others.
‘Can She Be Saved?” also received an Award of Merit in the short documentary category from
Indie Fest and an honorable mention from the Texas Black Film festival. Her independent
production company produces thought provoking documentaries and narratives that chronicle the
lives, traumas and experiences of urban youth. Each episode of Shiraz’ groundbreaking web
series, “Every Corner”, allows young people, parents, and educators to share explosive real life
experiences. These are their stories in their own words. Shiraz is also a best selling, award
winning author of “The Blueprint for My Girls” and five other books. Her blueprint empowering
series is utilized as a self esteem tool for middle and high school students across the United
States. Her latest novel “Retaliation,” is about a community’s response to violence. It has been
implemented in various violence prevention programs for teens in Washington, DC—and
inspiring young people to read.

Creator:
Fernandel Almonor earned a Bachelor of Arts from Rutgers University, in Political Science and
History. He graduated with high honors and was a Paul Robeson Scholar. He then earned a
Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Directing from California Institute of the Arts. His award
winning thesis film, “Redemption,” starred Kiko Ellsworth (“Bad Boys 2”) and Starletta DuPois
(“The Notebook”). He’s also the writer/ director of the psychological thriller “Prey,” which
won at the Houston International Film Festival. Fernandel completed a comedy pilot “AMP'D
TV” with members of the Groundlings Theater Company. Staring Gary Anthony Williams
(“Malcolm in the Middle”, "Boston Legal") Andrew Friedman (“Live Free or Die Hard”) and
Mikey Day (NBC's "Kath & Kim"). Fernandel then completed the television pilot “Genius in
Heels” with Rae’Ven Larrymore Kelly (“A Time to Kill”) and Vernee Watson-Johnson (“The
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”). He recently created his first web series “Gamerz 187” and is currently
in discussions with an established production company that expressed interest in converting the
web series into a television series.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: A Christian comedy about the humor, havoc and heartaches that come
along with dating when you refuse to compromise your faith.
Creator:
Elaine Alaniz was born in Weslaco, Texas and raised in Houston, Texas. Her career in acting
started in her 20’s due to the fact she was to busy putting herself through high school and
college. At the age of 23, a job opportunity arose in Los Angeles, so she took the leap of faith
and moved from Texas to California with the high hopes that she was now getting closer to her
dream of becoming a Hollywood actress. A year later God got a hold of her heart and turned
everything upside down. She took a break from auditions in 2008 and spent that year studying
acting for the camera then the next year, in 2009, she spent it getting disciplined at her home
Church. After 5 years of working in the entertainment industry her vision and motives changed.
She was now pursuing the true love of her life “Jesus Christ.” With a complete change of heart
she left her job and opened up a production company and became the founder of Nahum 17
Productions in August 2009. The path in her life was about to take a different direction. A month
later she was producing and starring in her first web project “I Once Was Lost-The Series.” One
of her major influences in her walk of faith has been Christian Hip Hop music, so her goal was to
incorporate this particular genre in the series to reach the youth of today’s pop culture. She is
currently developing the next 7 episodes with her co-writer Nikki Chiemelu. Her company is
committed to projects that bring awareness of gospel teachings in an untraditional way,
entertaining and reaching today’s culture by relating to their circumstances and inspiring them.

Al Thompson has appeared in numerous films and television shows including “The Royal
Tenenbaums,” “A Walk to Remember,” “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” ESPN’s “A Season on the
Brink,” “Law & Order,” ” Sidney Lumet’s “100 Centre Street,” “Law & Order: Special Victims
Unit,” and “Law & Order: Criminal Intent.” Recently, Al won acclaim for his performance as
Derrick, the troubled protagonist of Ilya Chaiken’s “Liberty Kid” which won Best Feature Film
at the HBO Latino International Film Festival in New York City. As a writer, producer, and now
director, Al is currently developing a number of projects, including two original web series that
will be premiering later this year. One of the series is "Lenox Avenue". He lives and works
in Harlem, New York City. “Johnny B. Homeless,” which also stars “Saturday Night Live’s”

Creator:
Frank J. Zanca is President of Destiny Horizons, Inc. He began working in local television at
the age of 22 when he became a Promotional Producer for Channel 9, the Orlando ABC affiliate.
During this time he wrote and produced thirty second spots for the news cast and syndicated
shows such as “Geraldo” and “Sally Jesse Rapheal”. Later he worked as a production assistant
on NBC's Gonzo Games and Dick Clark's Sea World Summer Spectacular. In 1995 Frank created
and wrote his first comic book, which was distributed internationally, under the name of
“Shadow Raven.” He moved into marketing where he became CFO and later President of two
Independent marketing firms. Frank also designed “Shadow Raven: the Combat Card Game,”
based on the comic series and wrote a Shadow Raven novel accompanied by a full-cast audio
book. In addition, he has written half a dozen screenplays including a theatrical play that was
performed for the Orlando Fringe Festival and was recently optioned by a local theatre
company. Frank has authored two other novels, one of which is a Holocaust biography entitled
“Escape from Berlin: The Diane Jacob’s Story.” The book has enjoyed great feedback and
received coverage by CBS. He has since partnered with the Producer of “That ‘70s Show “and
“3rd Rock from the Sun” to create the webisode platform – StayTunedTV.net.

Creators:
Maureen Aladin, one of three founders of the theater/film/TV/web/interactive media company
SistaPAC Productions, is an actress, writer and producer. CNN.com recognized her for her 2008
presidential election commercial in the iReport Film Festival. Credits include the production of
an online show (similar to AOL Sessions) and most recently, producer and writer for the youth
sports show Inside the Orange Bowl YFA on Fox Sports (Florida). She has also appeared as a
guest host on New York’s “NYCTV.” Maureen has a BA from Stony Brook University in
Political Science and an MS in Computer Science from the New York Institute of Technology.
Ella Turenne, another SistaPAC Productions co-founder, is an artist, activist and educator. Her
work has been published in various anthologies and she’s performed in venues across the
country. As a filmmaker, her work has been an official selection of various national film festivals
including the Hollywood Black Film Festival and the Montreal International Haitian Film
Festival where her short film woodshed was nominated for Best Short Film. She has a BA from
Stony Brook University, an MSW from Boston University and is working on an MA in Media
Studies from the New School. Her next short film, “Madden's Revenge,” will be finished in
2010.
Jessica Hartley, SistaPAC’s third founder, is an actress, writer, director and marketing
consultant. As a marketing consultant for small businesses and artists of color, she started her
own marketing consulting firm, Viscosity Interactive Media and Entertainment, LLC (VIME –
vimellc.com) geared towards helping artists and entrepreneurs of color market their products and
services. She has a BA from Purdue University and an MBA with a specialization in Media
Management from Metropolitan College of New York. She’s currently working on her second
novel, along with her first screenplay and teleplay.

SERIES SYNOPSIS: “Luck and the Virgin” is a bilingual (English and Spanish) web series that
takes you on a wild ride of how things can go wrong in the small Mexican city of San Miguel de
Allende. Ricardo, a hit man, and Valentina, a women running from her boyfriend with all his
drug money in toe, end up becoming involved in some unfortunate ways. All episodes will have
subtitles in either Spanish or English depending on the language being spoken at the time. The 60
second soap is specifically designed for the viewers who don't have enough time for a traditional
web series but enjoy the fast paced nature of the web.
Creators:
Jaime Byrd has been working as a film producer, director, DOP, and editor since establishing
her production company, Blind Lyle Films in 2004. She first studied Fine Arts and Music at
California State University of Los Angeles, and after a 20 year career in the performing arts,
Jaime went on to study film and visual media to pursue her love of making creative content with
film and video. Her short documentary, about enlightenment, "Slow Down and Fast", has been
featured at film festivals and is currently being self distributed through VOD. Jaime has won
numerous awards for her commercial and music video work over the last 5 years. Currently,
Jaime is working on two web series, "Luck and The Virgin", a Spanish and English language
web series shot in Mexico where every episode is no longer then 60 seconds long, and another
comedy series about a man with severe bipolar disorder. She is also preparing to produce and
direct a feature film in 2011. Originally from Los Angeles, Jaime now lives around the world,
working as an editor, director, and producer, and is stationed half of the year in the mountains of
Asheville, NC.
Adam Cohen has been producing film and video since 2004. Graduating with a doctorate of
veterinary medicine from Madison, WI, Adam joined forces with creative producer and director,
Jaime Byrd to create Blind Lyle Films. His understanding of complicated systems made for an
easy transition into film. Cohen has helped to put Blind Lyle Films content on the map as well as
bring in creative contributors from all over the world. Specializing in international productions
and cross-cultural content, Adam enjoys the challenges of working and producing in foreign
countries. He is currently promoting his web series, “Luck and The Virgin: a 60 Second Soap”.

Blake Faucette has filmed hundreds of live concerts and produced nine nationally-distributed
DVD’s featuring heavy metal and hardcore music. He has worked with international music acts
including Andrew W.K., GWAR, Underoath, Darkest Hour, Corosion of Conformity, Between
the Buried and Me, Glass Casket, Killwhitneydead and many more. Along with the live concerts,
Blake has filmed, edited and directed many music videos. In addition to the music scene, Blake
has produced television commercials and promotional videos. He has filmed and edited public
speakers, studio interviews, large conventions, and worked in major crew roles on short and
feature films. Blake was the producer and B-camera operator on the feature film, “Dogs of
Chinatown.” Currently Blake is co-producer, co-director and co-editor on “Often Awesome” the
series, a web series documenting his friend Tim LaFollette's battle with Lou Gehrig's disease.
Future projects include: “Beat Down Boogie” (a Jackie Chan style action adventure feature
film), continuing the “Often Awesome “ series and producing more feature films and TV projects
with his partners at All Aces Media.
Andy Coon By day Andy Coon creates corporate videos and trains displaced workers how to
edit and shoot video for clients. At night he transforms into an award-winning documentary
filmmaker that shines a light on social justice. While filming “Greensboro’s Child,” a
documentary about the Greensboro Massacre of 1979 and its lingering impact, Andy was
exposed to firsthand accounts of corrupt justice that would inspire a lifelong passion for
documentaries about the human condition. “Greensboro’s Child” won awards at numerous film
festivals including Best Independent Documentary and Best Researched Documentary. Andy has
worked as a top filmmaker for Turnhere, INC, worked for reality shows, documentaries and
feature length films with hands in many different roles. Andy is the video production manager at
the Welfare Reform Liaison Project in Greensboro, NC. It’s a non-profit organization that is a job
training hub for economically disadvantaged people that encourages self sufficiency. Andy trains
people of all ages and backgrounds that are unemployed how to edit, shoot, light, record audio
and create a corporate industrial for paying clients. In addition to working full-time Andy coproduces, co-directs and co-edits with Blake Faucette on “Often Awesome The Series.” In his
spare time Andy runs a popular blog site that features interviews with interesting figures in the
media, tips on using Final Cut Pro and software reviews for filmmakers.

Jennifer Dawson is the youngest of four children, born and raised in Miami, Florida. She
studied briefly at the New World School of the Arts in her hometown. Dawson also participated
in a Summer Intensive Acting Program at the Atlantic Theater in New York City. In 2007, after
the end of her marriage, Dawson moved to Los Angeles with two telephone numbers in her
pocket. At the same time, she started keeping a dating diary of the bizarre dates she encountered
post divorce. In 2008 and seventy plus entries later, she began developing the dating diary into
what is now “Party Girl Plus One.” Jennifer oversees all aspects of the web series production, as
well as writes, produces and stars in the series. “Party Girl, Plus One” is her first published
writing series and she is currently developing the same diary into a book. Jennifer's theatrical
credits include a reoccurring role on AMC's hit drama “Mad Men” as the character Ethel.

Carmen Elena Mitchell’s words have appeared in “Pieces: A Collection of New Voices” (as
recipient of the MTV/Pocket Books Short Fiction Award). She has also been published in The
Sow’s Ear Poetry Review, Deixis and The Seattle Medium. She made her filmmaking debut with
“Evidence” (Vine Shorts Fest, San Francisco Frozen Film Festival, Zero Film Festival, Red
Orchid Film Festival), and co-wrote the Jury Level Filmmaker Short “Who Could Ask for
More?” with Craig Ouellette. Playwriting credits include “Beyond the Dinner Table: The
Unintentional Poetry of Howie Small” (Los Angeles Edge of the World Theatre Festival), and
Off-Chance Production’s “Anatomy of a Slap:” for which she served as lead writer with Luis
Reyes. As an actor, Carmen received her training at The British American Drama Academy,
Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre and Sarah Lawrence College, and has performed on stages in

Frank Krueger is the creator and star of “Redemption: The Darkness Descending.” In 2004,
Frank was drawn to the emerging online medium as a way to make film independently and
creatively. He began producing and starring in the popular comedy web series “Man VS”
(manvsfilms.com). Frank grew up in New York, just outside Manhattan, where he first heard
stories about the myriad of abandoned tunnels and caves underneath New York City and the
people who lived in them. As Frank began researching those childhood stories, he uncovered the
amazing real-life events and urban legends surrounding this gritty and dangerous underworld. He
partnered with Continuum Pictures, Wylie Small and director Marc Clebanoff to produce a

Reggie Gaskins is an award-winning Director who was born in Philadelphia where he began his
acting career at the prestigious Freedom Theatre. It was there where he honed his skills as an
actor, playwright and director. Unhappy with the limitations of roles he was cast in Reggie began
writing plays for him to play a variety of roles. Finding success as a playwright and actor Reggie
moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his career goals. In Los Angeles, Reggie became known
as a comedic actor and landed the hilarious pilot "Go Sick" for ABC. He went on to be the lead
in four other pilots including ‘Kings of Comedy Sketch Show” for FOX. Reggie was the
charming and hilarious host of “Star Dates” for E Television and “Animal Pranksters” for
Animal Planet TV. Reggie made his feature film debut in Eddie Murphy's “Showtime” and was
later cast in the hilarious “Friday After Next” with Ice Cube and Mike Epps. He then landed a
recurring role on UPN's hit show “Eve,” playing the lovable character, Marty, for three seasons.
Later, Reggie would finance, write, produce, direct and star in one short film a year to maintain
his dramatic acting skills. This paid off when one of them, “Restraining Order,” was such a
success that Reggie was able to obtain financing to shoot the feature of the film. Reggie's vision
of a successful feature paid off. “Restraining Order” was the Centerpiece film of the 2006 Pan
African Film Festival. The film went on to win Best Feature at the Hollywood Black Film
Festival (2006). However, the ultimate prize came when Reggie was nominated for a NAACP
Image Award for Outstanding Writing of a Feature film for “Restraining Order.” Then,
“Restraining Order” obtained a distribution deal and in the first several months of its release it
was a best seller and rental. Reggie recently received a Meritorious Citation from the State of
Pennsylvania for his outstanding achievements in the television and film industry.

Creators:
Paul L. Mays graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Science in English and a
Concentration in Writing for Business and Industry. After a career in pharmaceutical sales he
decided to pursuit writing on a full-time basis and along with his writing partner Torrance Hill
and formed Mays Hill Productions. Since the formation of this company they have written three
original pilots, two screenplays, countless spec scripts, and produced an acclaimed web series
called “Rx.” The web series was nominated for Best Drama and Best Writing at the New York
and Los Angeles Independent Television Festivals. It is currently streaming on Strike.tv. Paul
recently completed the 2008 Guy Hanks and Marvin Miller Screenwriting Fellowship Program
and was also selected as a Blue Ribbon Panel Judge for the 2008 Daytime Emmy Awards
Torrance Hill was named “TV Guide” by his friends and family because he could name all the
actors on prime-time TV and recite the plot lines of any show coming on during the week. Fastforward: Torrance obtained his degree in Communication Arts from C.U.N.Y. Queens College
and began writing short stories and plays in his spare time. His funny stories would later become
material for his stand-up comedy shows. Torrance has appeared on stage at The Ice House
Comedy club in Pasadena and The Comedy Store to name a few. Encouraged by a good friend
and soon to be writing partner, Paul L. Mays he began his foray into writing screenplays and
television pilots. “Rx,” their first project centers around the drama of five sexy pharmaceutical

inane accidents to find out what went wrong and who is to blame, though no one has really asked
them to do it. Ironically, their involvement causes far more damage than they prevent but they
always solve things...somehow.
Creators:
Tom Konkle is a professional actor and writer who have also done sketch comedy for over ten
years. Tom is the founding member of the sketch troupe Lester McFwap, and has performed
hundreds of original shows around the country as well as having completed the television pilot,
“McFwap!” Tom has starred in the short films "Who Makes Movies" and "Sanctuary" to name
only two. He has appeared in comedy films with David Beeler including "Seat Fillers!" "The
Animal In Us All", "The Secret To Happiness", "A Paid Advertisement," "Destiny's Stop,” and
"The Argument Clinic." Tom has written three screenplays including “Village of the Darned” and
“Last Breath.” He has also written for television, short films, and industrials. You may have also
seen Tom in commercials, guest star roles on television and independent films. His stage career
is extensive with shows including “The Real Inspector Hound,” “Beyond The Fringe,” “Clare
and Tom: A One Woman Show,” “Loot, Nevermore: The Black Cat,” "Good Night,” “Britcom,”
“Double Act” and many others. The remaining Monty Python members asked him to direct,
perform and run their never before seen sketches live in a show called “Owl-Stretching Time.”
Tom was a series regular on NBC's Spy TV, Sci-Fi Channel's “Scare Tactics” and Fox's “The
Orlando Jones Show,” “Arrested Development,” NBC's “The Office,” “ Back to You,” “Secret
Life of the American Teenager” and CW's “The Game.” Tom stars in four episodes of “Comedy
Gumbo” for Sony Pictures Television and is the voice of the cup in the film “Behind the Cup.”
Tom can also be seen guest starring in web series “The Crew” season two, “The Jeff Lewis
Comedy Show,” and starring in several commercials. Tom recently wrote for and starred in a two
man sketch show with John Cleese called “The Art of Football.”
David Beeler born and raised in Kerrville Texas, he went to school in London and trained at The
Central School of Speech & Drama while Laurence Olivier was the President of the school.
David was "over there" for 10 years and highlights include: Hamlet, Ritchie Valens in Buddy,
Puck, Edmund, and being directed in “The Scottish Play” by Dame Judi Dench. “Booth,” a one
man show written and performed by Beeler, won a Fringe 1st at the Edinburgh Festival, as did an
ensemble piece about John Wilkes Booth entitled “Our Brutus” which led to a writing
commission from a West End producer. In Los Angeles, Beeler was in “Beyond the Fringe” (LA
Weekly Comedy Pick of The Week), as well as “The Real Inspector Hound” as Birdboot, "Good
Evening,” “Owl-Stretching Time,” the world premier of unseen Monty Python sketches, “Good
Night” and “Double Act” both of which he wrote with Tom Konkle. Beeler was in the TV film,
“Red Skies” as a gun toting kidnapper and is in the feature film, “LA Twister” (winner, Best
Ensemble, Monte Carlo Film Festival). You may have seen David in a national commercial. He’s

York), a certificate in a Webmaster program from Seneca College (Toronto), and a certificate in
producing from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Extension. Gary has produced
two short films "Bar Barons" and "Surprise" and a feature "Tan Man".
Alice Cutler was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky, where she performed in her first play
at Actors Theatre of Louisville. She received her Bachelor of Arts in drama from Vassar College,
and later moved to New York where she studied at The Atlantic Acting Company. Alice also did
a children's theater tour of "Beauty and the Beast" and toured in Maine with "The Merry Wives
of Windsor." Since moving to Los Angeles, Alice has worked on commercials, television, and
web series. She has also studied at Lesley Kahn and The Groundlings.
Jonathan Zweben has over 13 years of television experience. The past 10 years he has worked
at ABC-TV in ad sales and digital marketing. He has written, produced, and directed two short

city weren’t swarming with zombies. On the plus side, it seems that somebody forgot to turn out
the lights and, despite the city being ravaged by zombies, much of the infrastructure remains in
tact. For the time being there are still utilities, electricity, gas and even Internet access available.
But that doesn’t stop this whole thing from affecting the two in wildly different ways. Joe goes
into full on survival mode–struggling to fight against the zombies and sometimes finding rather
disturbing and unorthodox ways to survive. Chris however, has suffered some form of PTSD and
is living his life as if nothing out of the ordinary has happened.

when she was only twenty six. Only a few years later, she created Sophisticate’s Black Hair
Magazine, which remains the number one selling hairstyle publication in the world. While
promoting SBH, de Joseph made an appearance on “Live' With Regis and Kathy Lee”. The
producer asked her to be a regular on the show and she went on to make over 300 television
appearances on shows including Donahue, Montel Williams, AM Los Angeles and Hour
Magazine. Switching gears, de Joseph entered and completed film school. Her first film, “It’s In
The Bag” won several awards and aired on Showtime. The same year, de Joseph won a Cosby
fellowship to study screenwriting at University of Southern California’s School of Cinema. A
few years later, de Joseph won best play and best playwright for, “The Chest.” And as if that
wasn’t enough, she developed her own line of hair products, African Wonders, and produced an

Paul St. Clair-Lindsay visual style was born over 25 years ago on a random Saturday afternoon
in Queens, New York. Where he discovered "Kung Fu" Theater. These pieces of cinematic art
captured Paul's interest and fueled his imagination with their quick paced edits, extreme closeups and vibrant colors. It is Paul's fondness for this genre of cinema that defines his quirky offkilter style of directing. After graduating from Villanova, Paul worked as an A/V tech and shot
his first short, “After the Dance.” It received accolades at the Sony Innovators festival and from
there, Paul moved back to New York, where directed three short films: “29, , “The Marked
Man” and “SWITCH!,” as well as helmed spots for BET.com and numerous industrials. In 2002,
Paul directed his first feature, “G Chronicles: The Stolen Sample,” the first film in the comedic
hip-hop superhero trilogy. The film hit the festival circuit in June 2002 and was well received. In
early 2004, Paul moved to Los Angeles to further pursue his goals leading him to produce and
direct “The Bro Code” in 2009. Season 2 of “The Bro Code” is in pre-production and Paul has
written two other web series and 5 television pilots.
Phillip Douglas has dedicated the last few years to making his mark in the film and television
industry. This guy from Queens, New York and avid Mets fan went out and got his first credit on
the big screen in the cult classic ‘Pootie Tang.” Still striving to make his mark, Philip is trying to

Lisa Robinson grew up on Long Island, New York, attended Spellman College and spent her
summers as an intern at WNBC-TV and various production companies around NYC. As a
teaching assistant (T.A.) at University of California, San Diego, she also produced and directed
the documentaries “Bicycles” and “The Difference in Black and White”. With an MFA in
Screenwriting from the American Film Institute (AFI), Lisa’s feature “Baby Girl” was a semifinalist in the 1998 OBS Screenwriting Competition. In 2002, Lisa was selected for the Warner
Bros. Sitcom Writer’s Workshop and was a finalist in the 2003 Urban Insider 5-5-5 Short
Screenplay competition for her script “Baby Blocks”. In 2003, she won 3rd place at the

Kim Turrisi is a Florida native who has worked in the film and television industry for almost 15
years. She began her Los Angeles based career in production for Forbrooke Entertainment and
Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment. After a year of on-set production and post production,
Kim segued to the development side of the business. First working as a development executive at
Columbia-Tri-Star and eventually shepherding many projects in family and sports entertainment
for Disney, Viacom and Hallmark. She has published numerous articles covering women’s
professional soccer and softball on the collegiate level for several web sites focusing on women’s

SERIES SYNOPSIS: A few years ago, Nate was one of YouTube's first big stars, with viral
videos garnering millions of views. Now, he is virtually forgotten, and no one watches his
videos anymore. Unfortunately, Nate's brush with fame has left him with a huge ego and
his continuing, desperate efforts to cling to his Internet fame, strains his relationships with
friends and family.
Creators:
Kenny Beverly (“Nate,” writer, executive producer, co-creator, editor) is a half-Asian writer and
sometime performer for television, features and the Internet. He has written for Cartoon
Network's “Out of Jimmy's Head,” Mad magazine and McSweeney's. He wrote, produced and
starred in the web shows “Vlog Star” and “Kenny Bloggerly's Internet Life,” as well as numerous
and varied sketch videos. Online shorts include "Wicker: The Best Thing Ever," "My Friend
Mike" and "American Shopper," the latter of which played at the Swansea Bay Film Festival. He
has studied improv at iOWest in Hollywood and performed stand-up at The Comedy Store.
Beverly is an alumnus of the MFA screenwriting program at the University of Southern
California’s School of Cinema -Television, the CBS Diversity Institute Writers Mentoring
Program, the NBC Diversity scene showcase and the WB Writers Workshop.
Mike Ludwig (“Max,” co-creator) hails from New York City and is an alumnus of the MFA
screenwriting program at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television.
He can be found performing comedy at IOWest and/or the UCB Theater pretty much every
week. Mike has appeared on Comedy Central’s "Contest Searchlight" and in various sketches on
"Late Night with Conan O’Brien." He has also created, written, or acted in the web shows “Vlog
Star” and the “Mike and Kenny” series of sketch videos. Online shorts include "Wicker: The
Best Thing Ever," "My Friend Mike" and "Mike Ludwig Talks to Girls." Mike has performed
his one-man parody of “This American Life, This American Mike,” at IOWest and venues around
Los Angeles and is currently working on “This American Mike 2.”

journalism, theater, television, film, web) since he was 17. Michael is University of

Nathan Fluellen is a consummate traveler and lives by his motto “travel the world and have the
time of your life”! Nathan is a graduate of Tennessee State University. During his studies there,
he befriended a professor who had traveled to more than 80 countries. Instantly intrigued, Nathan
immediately knew he needed to figure out how to make traveling the world his profession! To
satisfy the urge, upon graduation, Nathan began managing tours for various Fortune 500
companies. This kept him busy traveling domestically, but he knew there was much more of the
world to explore. Nathan’s first international trip to Barcelona, Spain transformed his entire
outlook on the world. He realized that although people have differences we are all the same. The
experience of new culture, food, fashion, architecture, and mindset unleashed the desire to find
that in every corner of the world. Nathan’s thirst for Travel over the years has brought him to

Creators:
Isaac Díaz is thrilled to be participating in the 1st Annual LAWEBFEST. He and his partner,
Sherrie Q. Robertson, have enjoyed a successful six year partnership resulting in the creation of
IKED Entertainment. IKED has taken full advantage of the Internet in developing and producing
programs like "The Dating Advice Show,” “Date Night,” “The Best of Blacktv247.com” and
now “Writer’s Block”. Díaz graduated with a B.A. in Cinema-Television Arts and also holds a
Professional Degree in Producing from University of California, Los Angeles. Isaac began
making videos and premiering them in his family’s living room at a young age. He has written,
directed and produced film shorts and web shows and is excited at the new opportunities that will
arise as technology continues to progress. Isaac and Sherrie met in 2003 while taking an Intro to
Acting class at Cal State University, Northridge, where they have both earned their degrees.
Sherrie Q. Robertson, while earning her Master's degree in Political Science, has always been
an artist whether working her way through college as a photographer or writing short stories for
the enjoyment of friends and family. Sherrie enjoys a life of creative expression both in front of
the camera as well as behind it. Sherrie's diverse background has been instrumental in the
creation of new projects as well as conducting business within the industry. Isaac and Sherrie are
currently working on various projects including features and a TV pilot that was a recent semifinalist in the Scriptapalooza TV screenplay competition. They are extremely proud of the work
they've done at IKED (where the company motto is Life... Happens... Things!), and look forward
to continued success.

Creators:
LaMont Ferrell is a big comedic talent and it's not because of his 6'4"frame. Originally from
Philadelphia, LaMont has been entertaining audiences for over ten years. After winning the 1996
Comic Relief Comedy Festival Funniest New Comic Award, he took his comedic writing talents
to TV and he started writing for various sitcoms such as, BET’s “Nothin’ But a Women,” the
WB’s “The Parent’Hood” and UPN’s “Moesha.” He won The Media Projects 2000 Shine Award
for a “Moesha” episode he co-wrote for the sitcom formally starring singer Brandy.
LaMont hopes to have his own show on the air in the near future. He sold the pilots, “Old
School,” to the Fox Network and “The Trouble with Girls” to the UPN Network. After working
as a writer/producer for UPN’s hit show “Girlfriends” Lamont has ventured into the motion
picture arena. He was one of the writers hired to punch up the movie, “The Cookout,” starring
Queen Latifah and he recently optioned “Family Business” a film based on the true story of his
family’s restaurant business in Philadelphia. In 2003, LaMont formed his own production
company, Just Jokes Entertainment, and produced and directed three DVD volumes of his own
stand-up comedy available online at www.justjokesentertainment.com, Netflix.com and various
media outlets. He also has worked as a consultant/writer on Nick Cannon’s “Short Circuitz”
sketch comedy show for MTV and was one of the writers hired by Tyler Perry to help write over
one hundred episodes of his show “The House of Payne.” His pilot, “Big Shot,” was executive
produced by Oscar winner Jamie Foxx and ex-NBA All-Star Kenny Smith and purchased by
TBS. He recently landed a recurring role on the hit NBC show, “The Office.”
Marc Alexander has been hilariously hilarious since emancipating himself from his mother’s
womb on a rainy night in New Jersey during the spring of 1966. Growing up, in and around
Philadelphia, Marc’s sense of humor, pop culture and informed writing style is greatly influenced
by his voracious appetite for literature, music, and history. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1998,
Marc has written 3 feature scripts; “The JBM,” “The 18th Hole,” and “Camp Suck-cess,” the first
two being optioned and the third was in development at Latham Productions on the Paramount
Studios lot. Marc served as secretary and president of the Organization of Black Screenwriters
from 2001 – 2004 and finished third in the organization’s 2001 Short Script Competition for his
story, “E-Male.” Marc worked as a punch-up writer on the pilot episode of UPN’s "Eve" show
and most recently was producer/writer on the “Just Jokes Entertainment Comedy Tour”, DVD
Volumes 1-3. Marc is also the creator/director of the Internet series, "You're Joking Right.” An
accomplished poet whose work has been published in an anthology edited by Sonia Sanchez,
Marc has also written over a dozen feature magazine articles. Currently, Marc is a staff writer
for the My Networks sitcom "Under One Roof.”
