The passing of David Wallenfelsz reminds us of the different influences that teachers introduce into the lives of their students. Maybe if was the humor in the classroom of the Great Karnak, a recollection of the bright lights of New York on a senior trip or an event such as brick movie cameras, that foul he did or didn’t call in a basketball game, or just hearing your name called over the PA by the ”Voice of the Red Devils.” All these things are the footprints we walk in our forward lives and moments that are unforgettable. Even though he has been absent from our community since retirement in 1990, he is missed.
