Growth Over Time
Reflective Writing Policy
POLICY STATEMENT
 In August, the students will be given a piece of writing paper and will be instructed to write about themselves.
 In April, the students will be given the same assignment.
 On the next day in April, the students will be given the August and the April paper. They will read each paper and compare their growth as a writer for a few minutes independently. Then they will get into groups and discuss their growth with their classmates.
 The students will write a reflective letter on how they have grown as a reader / writer this year. They will need to include at least two areas they have improved and one area that they still want to improve for the future.
