Earning Credits through Correspondence / Online Courses

Oak Park & River Forest High School allows a maximum of four (4) correspondence credits to be used towards satisfying graduation requirements. OPRF does not have direct affiliation with any outside crediting agencies and is not held responsible for any fees or issues that may arise from the use of an online or correspondence course.

Please note: Seniors taking correspondence classes must have completed the course curriculum and have ordered a final examination (if applicable) by Friday, April 3, 2015 (This is the Friday of Spring Break!) to process final grades from the outside course. A student who misses the April 3, 2015 deadline runs the risk of not being able to participate in graduation.

While OPRF does not endorse any particular correspondence program, the majority of correspondence credits coming into our school have been earned through Brigham Young University’s Online High School Program. For your convenience, registration for this program is as follows:

Course Registration for BYU’s Online High School Program:

.

2) During the registration process, please provide Oak Park & River Forest High School’s ACT school code: 143-245. Entering the school code allows the counselor to monitor student progress in the course, to proctor the final exam, and to see the final grade for the course.
