ISSN 2094-3991Volume 5 Issue 7 July 2013 BURDC steps up efforts with Mind-to-Market strategy B The President’s OUTBOX The Philippine Higher Education Roadmap challenges state universities to level up their standards towards internationally recognized practices while nurturing local innovations. We are shaping our efforts in resource generation along this roadmap. Hence, our IGPs are moving towards Intellectual Property licensing, the prerequisite of which is patenting and trademark registration. This month, the progress has been much felt, having harvested a large number of completed researches, along with research-generated technologies and inventions that are ready to make their debut in the market. With the help of consultants, we are making our next steps towards fulfilling the “mind-to-market” concept of research which will make our outputs truly relevant as we make our solutions to perceived problems available to the community we serve. There is much to be done. But with one step at a time, or giant leaps of inspired endeavors, we will surely move the university towards excellence. icol University is fast achieving its dream of becoming a research university through the persistent efforts of the Research and Development Center (RDC), as evidenced by the numerous activities it has held in the past few months. Earl Epson Lim Recamunda president of the Bio Property Strategy Group, Inc., was invited to give tips on how to improve on and later sell the products and technologies presented. IPs were presented by college by their respective faculty researcher/s, after which comments and recommendations were made by the consultant on how best to package and introduce the Cahoon/P2 BU welcomes foreign students AFS-IPP students take front seats during the welcome program at the College of Arts and Letters Amphitheater last July 23.
