Over and above the regular activities, the department frequently hosts various training programmes and scientific sessions for undergraduate, postgraduate and paramedical trainees. In addition to a state of the art ‘Operation Theatre’, where six major surgical procedures can be run simultaneously, the department has a well equipped 8 bedded Post Operative Care Unit and a 4 bedded Trauma Care Unit, both of which are manned round the clock by surgical trainees. Apart from the regular facilities, our trainees have access to Lap Endotrainers and Lap Simulator. Undergraduate admission – 150 / year; Post Graduate admission – 14 / year.
