Regular Dinner
Senior Center
Wow, how time flies as you age..!
We have had the Past Presidents BBQ hosted
by a very jubilant PAST PRESIDENT Lion
Dave King. Who is now assuming the sight
duties from Lion David Ogden after 5 years.
Thank you Lion Ogden...
Saturday - August 13th
Monthly Pancake Breakfast
Senior Center
Club Directors... Please use these
wonderful Lion Board members to bring your
requests for assistance, concerns and positive/negative feedback to the
Board at the monthly Board meetings. The One and two year Directors
are listed herein.
We are looking to Host a New Presidents BBQ Picnic at Lion Rigo’s
home on the 17th of August. We are looking for the District to embrace
this annual event and create some Admin funds to allow the club to do
some outside activities. May be we can set sail on Lake Tahoe...? Do
a wine tasting in the Sierra Foothills...? Head to the Bay for a Football
or Baseball game..? Sponsor a Bowling team for some, local
exposure...? Think of some ideas and put them in the hat for
discussion.
If you should find the need to Chair an event this year... Please
remember to ask a newer member to assist. We need to mentor the
club assets to continue the “Service to the Community”.
How about we all take the reigns and ask a new person to a meeting
each quarter of the year. That would mean asking 4 people to the Club
meeting diner. As we have lost over 10 members this past year, it would
be nice to aggressively work to build the club with excited, engaged and
community minded people. I would also propose that the “Club” pick up
the diner tab for these visitors as a show of good will.
Thank you Lions for your continued help and support with our CLUB
SERVICE REQUESTS.

Lions are in 200 countries and
geographic areas.
We have a dynamic history. We are
best known for fighting blindness—
it’s part of our history as well as our
work today. But we also volunteer for
many different kinds of projects
including disaster relief— across
many borders. We serve youth. Our
community projects often support
local children and schools with new
programs and resources.
Internationally, we offer many
programs.
We hope you will consider
joining our club.
To become a Lion, you must
be of good moral character and
good reputation in our
community.
Membership is by invitation.
If you’re interested in being
invited to join Lions Club of
Elk Grove, you may want to
consider some of the following
facts about Lionism:
We have 1.3 million
members in 45,000 clubs
worldwide.
Lions are active.
Our motto is “We Serve.”
