Mobile Banking
App Enhancements
We are excited to announce the InvesTex Mobile Banking
App will soon offer new features and enhancements.
Technicians engineered the App to provide a new look
customized to the InvesTex brand.
•The “Accounts” dashboard and detail views will be updated to provide cash flow metrics
for the primary account.
• There will be a graphical representation of Money In and Money Out and the account
details include a cash flow history either daily, weekly or monthly.
• The Deposit feature will be enhanced to make the image capture experience more userfriendly.
• The Android App will be enhanced to include static menu buttons on the screen when
not logged in.
• A Loan Application will be available within the Mobile Banking App. The customdesigned application is a fast and convenient way to begin the loan process while
on-the-go. Get a fast decision while waiting at the car dealership. Apply for quick-cash to
take a vacation.
(Not available on all loans. Apply 24 x 7. Loan decisions made during InvesTex hours of
operations.)
Once the new App is released, you will be notified by your SmartPhone that a new download
is available. Your current log-in information will remain unchanged and will be used to log

Self-Services
We are excited to announce our new Debit
Card Self-Services. You can now activate
your new, reissued, or replacement InvesTex
debit card 24 x 7 and even select or change
your personal identification number (PIN).
The Debit Card Self-Service toll-free phone
number is (800)757-9848 and uses an
interactive voice response system that is available from any phone. You have complete and
secure control over card activation and PIN change services.
The Card Self-Service provides you with easy-to-follow instructions in English or Spanish.
You will be asked to provide specific information that identifies you to the phone system.
You will be guided through the system by a series of quick prompts. Once your call is
successfully completed, you can immediately use your InvesTex debit card at ATMs and the
point of sale for purchases.

YMCA Operation Backpack School Supply Drive
InvesTex is participating with the YMCA to help provide school
supplies for children in our communities. We are collecting backpacks
filled with school supplies at all of our branch locations from July 18th through
August 10th. Simply purchase a backpack and school supplies, put the supplies in the
backpack, add a note of encouragement, and drop off at any InvesTex branch. For a list of
suggested school supplies, visit YMCAHouston.org. Your investment will provide children
the opportunity to start school with the resources to be successful. Many willing hearts are
needed to assist with this effort. Help our kids make the grade!
Miracle Balloons with the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions
InvesTex has joined the Houston Chapter of Credit Unions and the Children’s Miracle
Network to raise funds for the Texas Children’s Hospital by selling paper balloons at all
InvesTex branch locations from July 1st through August 30th. For only $1 per balloon, you
will be providing the best hospital care for children when they need it. We will display
purchased balloons throughout our branches to show how supportive our membership
can be in our communities.

On Tuesday, July 15, 2014,
you will have access to
new and enhanced Online
Banking features. The
website will be offline for approximately 1 hour beginning at 10:30am for
servicing. Once available, you may log into the new website with your
current log-in information.
You will notice a new and improved layout on the InvesTex Online Banking website. There
are color changes and the text is more clear and easier to read. Tiles navigation is a new
optional feature that resembles the latest Microsoft Operating System. Both English and
Spanish language is also available. Here is a highlight of some of the enhancements that
are available in the new Online Banking website:
•eStatements – Electronic Member Statements are now available on the new Online Banking
website; no more separate log-in information for eStatements.
•Members who currently receive eStatements will receive a notification email
when the most recent statement is available with a message to log into
Online Banking to access the statement. Online Banking is required to access
eStatements after the upgrade is complete.
•Online Statements are available under the ACCOUNTS tab.
• To sign up for eStatements, log into Online Banking, select Online Statements
under the ACCOUNTS tab, and agree to the online agreement page to register.
•To discontinue eStatements and receive paper statements in the mail, simply
send your request to Info@InvesTexCU.org.
•Self-Enrollment – Allows existing members to enroll and gain access to Online
Banking 24 x 7.
•To self-enroll, simply select “SETUP YOUR INFO” under “NEW ONLINE BANKING
USER” on the log-in page.
•A temporary password is provided either by email, phone message, or text (SMS)
which is required to be on file on the host system for self-enrolling. Be sure to
verify InvesTex has this information on file prior to self-enrolling.
•Forgotten PIN (Personal Identification Number) – If you forget your PIN, no
problem. Simply reset your PIN on the Online Banking website under “TIPS & FAQs”
24 x 7.
•Forgotten Answer to Multi-Factor Authentication Questions – If you forget one of
your answers, simply follow the online procedures to receive a bypass security code
via your email address (be sure InvesTex has your most current email address on file).
Once you receive your code, return to the website to enter and gain access.
•View Multiple Account History – Located under the ACCOUNTS tab, you have the
choice to select a combination of primary accounts (joint accounts not included) you
want to view at one time.
•Security Alerts – Security has been enhanced to notify you when changes are made
to your InvesTex Online Banking profile and on certain transactions. An email will
be delivered to the address we have on file to alert you of various events such as PIN
changes, changes to your challenge questions/answers, email address changes, bill pay
payments are created/processed, transfer to another member is requested, etc.
We encourage you to log into the new Online Banking website to experience all these new,
FREE enhancements. For more information, be sure to visit InvesTexCU.org for up-to-date
information.

Weekend
Back to school shopping is here. Be sure to take
advantage of the tax free weekend in August. Texas
shoppers get a break from state and local sales taxes
on August 8th, 9th and 10th this year — the state’s
annual tax holiday.
As in previous years, the law exempts most clothing,
footwear, school supplies and backpacks priced under
$100 from sales and use taxes, which could save shoppers
about $8 on every $100 they spend. Lay-away plans
can be used again this year to take advantage of the
sales tax holiday. You can find further details online at
window.state.tx.us.

Employee Service Announcement
June 18, 2014 marks 30 years of service for Brenda Sells, Executive Assistant
to the management team. After joining HNG (Houston Natural Gas Credit
Union, which later merged and became Enron CU before StarTrust) in
June 1984 as a part-time teller, she quickly learned other duties including
lending, accounting, and financial services. Brenda began her new role
serving as an assistant to the management team for StarTrust FCU in 2008
and currently serves as the Executive Assistant for the management team at InvesTex since
the merger, July 1, 2013. Thirty years after beginning her career, Brenda brings dedication
and loyalty to our family that we value and respect.
In her spare time, Brenda loves to travel and read. She enjoys spending time with her family
and friends, and likes to shop!
Congratulations and Happy Anniversary, Brenda, and thank you for all you do!
Congratulations to Martha Mireles for 10 years of service with InvesTex
Credit Union. With over 40 years of financial institution experience, Martha
began her career with InvesTex in July of 2004 and currently serves as
the Vice President of Lending. She proudly calls San Antonio “home” and
is a die-hard fan of the Spurs. She enjoys spending time with her 2 sons
and grandsons, attending any and all sporting events, and likes music of
all types. Martha recently attended George Strait’s final tour in Arlington,
Texas and says she especially enjoys live concerts.

discrepancies you report. Unless you report any differences within 30 days of June 30, 2014,

Visa Debit Card Foreign Transactions - Important Changes
InvesTex continues to monitor fraud and security to protect your personal financial
information. Due to an increase in fraud activity on foreign debit card transactions, InvesTex
will no longer automatically allow signature-based transactions outside the U.S., effective
September 1, 2014. If you plan to travel outside the U.S., please contact us to temporarily
allow your InvesTex debit card to process signature-based transactions in the countries you
plan to travel through. We apologize for any inconvenience. Protecting your transactions
and personal financial information is important to us.
Traveler’s Checks
Effective August 1, 2014, InvesTex will no longer offer Traveler’s Checks. The usage and
demand for Traveler’s Checks has diminished while other payment products such as the
InvesTex Visa Debit Card and InvesTex Credit Cards (both MasterCard and Visa) are available
for travel needs.
