Brose is the world’s fifth-largest family-owned automotive supplier. It develops
and produces innovative mechatronics systems for vehicle doors and seats as
well as electric motors. There are over 23,000 Brose employees working at
60 locations in 23 countries generating a turnover of approx. 5.2 billion euros.
Brose is able to foster long-term partnerships with customers thanks to its

Brose in China
In 1996, we started the production of window regulators in China with
200 employees. We currently employ more than 4,000 people at eleven
locations and have managed to localize the entire value chain for our product
portfolio with cutting-edge manufacturing systems, processes and the benefit
of localized know-how. For almost 20 years, we have been represented as a
mechatronics specialist in China.
1996 Entered the Chinese market establishing a joint venture in Zhangjiagang
1999 Established the joint venture Shanghai Brose Automotive Components Co., Ltd. with local partner STEC
First just-in-sequence supplier of door systems in China
Delivery is synchronized with vehicle assembly at SVW
2004 Brose Changchun Automotive Systems Co., Ltd. started production.

Brose Changchun was recognized by FAW-VW for its localization
capabilities in development and production.
DPCA Excellent Supplier Award 2014
Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën Automobile Company (DPCA) awarded
Brose Wuhan for meeting its high quality, cost efficiency, project
development and logistics requirements.
GAC-Fiat Excellent Supplier Award 2014
Brose Wuhan won this honor from GAC-Fiat for its achievements in
project launches and local product development. The plant has met all
the requirements of the quality review for its 100 percent locally
developed and produced door systems.
Volvo Award for Best Launching Support 2014
Brose Chongqing received this award from Volvo Car Corporation
(VCC) for its launching support in the production of door systems.
Having achieved zero complaints, we provided effective technical
support and successfully managed the directed tier two suppliers.
DFPV Excellent Supplier Award 2014
Dongfeng Passenger Vehicle (DFPV) honored Shanghai Brose Electric
Motor (SBM) for producing cooling fan modules. It is also a recognition
of SBM’s strong on-site support for solutions to technical issues during
the implementation process.
GM Supplier Quality Excellence Award 2013
General Motors rewarded Brose‘s performance in 2013 with this award
to Shanghai Brose Automotive (SBA) for its consistently good quality
performance throughout 2013.
FAW-VW Excellent Quality Award 2013
Chinese automotive manufacturer FAW-VW presented the Brose
Changchun plant with its “Excellent Quality Award“ in recognition of the
company‘s high product quality and delivery reliability. This confirms
the success of Brose’s local manufacturing strategy, which focusses on
the requirements of the Chinese market.
BBAC Excellent Supplier Award 2012
Beijing Benz Automotive honored Brose’s Beijing plant, which went
operational in 2012, for its technical expertise and performance in terms
of quality, cost and supply reliability.
