The Committee will review your request and once it is approved you will be sent guidelines entitled Planning Your
Wedding. All procedural details are included in the guidelines.
Certain features of church policy should be explained in this initial step:
1) You must seek permission to have another minister officiate your ceremony with our Wedding
Committee. The officiating minister must send a letter to the minister of CPC requesting permission to
perform the ceremony and enclose a copy of his/her certification.
2) Premarital conferences with the minister or the substitute are required, the number to be determined in
advance.
3) No alcoholic beverages may be consumed on the church property at the time of the rehearsal and the
wedding, and any inebriated attendant will be requested to leave.
4) A non-refundable $100 security fee is required after approval has been given.
5) Non-members of the church are requested to pay a $600 fee for use of the church due one month before
the wedding. Request may be made for extenuating circumstances on the fee, which should be sent in
written form for evaluation by the Wedding Committee.
