The imports are usually unreliable and fail to meet the required demand. Small-scale vaccine production is being done at the Central Veterinary Research Institute (CVRI) in Lusaka. 2.7 Market Analysis Zambia's livestock population is on the increase. The biggest threat to the livestock sector is animal disease outbreaks. Having an established supply of vaccines can only contain this.
