Mandatory Team

Goal #2

Discover electrical sensors and reverse engineer them to work together as well as for us to have manual control over them. We will use these sensors to monitor the vitals of the engine and have it running at an acceptable performance and other signs that we are controlling it.

This will be done by end of 6 th semester.

Goal #3

To get statistics and compare them and use the performance modelling taught in adelios course to find the optimal settings for both the electronic units as well as the entire car system its self. We will know we have achieved this when we can get enough data and verify that it is optimally putting out the maximum output and efficiency we where aiming for.

This will be done by

6 th semester.

Team Norms

Commit our time over the course of the project to satisfying the needs of all the sponsors. Will always practice professional integrity, will not wrongfully copy/steal software or damage equipment.

Team members will maintain contact with each other on a day to day basis during the applied project. The team will maintain regular contact with team sponsors, and continue recording important information in logbook.

All team members of the team will participate in decision making equally. Each team members views will be taken into account and an agreement will be achieved.

Similar to the decision making norm, conflict resolution also has to take into account all team member view/opinions and issues will be discussed as a team. If a resolution cannot be reached then they will be brought up with the mentor for assistance

The role of the team leader is to ensure smooth operation of the team members and fair work delegation between them and their selves’. All team members will work together to help each other achieve project goals.

All members of the team must attend all meetings on time, and participate in and add to its content. If for some reason a team member cannot attend a meeting, he/she must inform the person leading the meeting at that time as soon as possible

Problems will become part of the agenda and are solved during meetings with decision-making and conflict resolution norms.

The main role of each team member is to complete the work assigned to them according to the agenda. Each team member will help and share knowledge with other members, and will complete tasks on time.

To ask for help when needed and to provide help when requested. To follow professional work ethics and integrity. Finish work on time or even ahead of time, and to the best of their ability.

Expulsion from Team

Also our team must follow the consequences which are applicable to the course

Working with Business and Industry, the Applied Project semester and this contract.

These are

1.

Any decisions that impact the team, e.g. before a student can be removed from a team; the student and the team must meet and discuss with their mentor. Proper documentation of violations to the team contract must be available at this meeting.

2.

The option of removing a team member can only apply up until week 14 of the Applied Project semester.

3.

If a student is then removed from a team it will be mandatory for that student to meet with the mentor, Applied Project coordinator and program coordinator to determine feasibility of starting an alternative project, and, if applicable, to work out an alternative action plan.

4.

The team, mentor and sponsor will renegotiate team member roles and project scope to compensate for the change.

5.

Mentor may assign a non-performing student to a new project, (possibly made up just for the student). Because the student may have to start the new project from the planning phase, the end of the project could extend past the normal end date of the applied project semester.

All students in the team, including any who has previously completed the WBI course, must participate fully with the team to plan the project.
