ING Luxembourg will take part in the first edition of The Color Run™
Luxembourg, as title sponsor
ING has the pleasure to announce its participation on 21 September 2013 in the first edition of The
Color Run™ Luxembourg: the « happiest 5k on the planet » will take place on the site of the
Echternach Lake.
An original type of race
The Color Run™ is a really original race, inspired by the Indian celebration of spring, Holi. The race
is organized in many cities in the world and for which all participants wear a white T-shirt to start.
After approximately each kilometer, the runners are covered with colored powder in the “Color
Zones”. The powder is a mixture of cornstarch and of food coloring. It is ecological and edible. At
the arrival, a “Color Party” rich in colors is held, during which the runners throw colored powder
distributed beforehand.
This year the race is being organized in more than 200 cities in North and South America, in Europe
and in Australia. As The Color Run™ is entirely dedicated to pleasure and to a unique experience
with friends and family, the race is not timed. It is probably one of the reasons why for an average
of 60 % of the participants it is their first time to run a 5 km race.
ING could not miss the Happy Race…
Already present in the world of running through the ING Night Marathon, the ING Eurocross or the
ING Trail Uewersauer, ING maintains momentum by becoming partner of The Color Run™:
“Running is a core aspect of ING Luxembourg’s sponsoring policy. Our objective is to reinforce our
local presence in the Grand-Duchy and to create proximity with the public, the participants and
local public entities. Moreover, our participation is not limited to a sponsoring in this case because
ING will donate 1 EUR per registered runner to SOS Villages d’Enfants.”, explains Christophe
Rahier, responsible for sponsoring within ING Luxembourg.
ING’s title sponsorship of the free race organized for young people (7 to 12 years) in Bettembourg,
the « Laf duerch 5 Kontinenter », that will take place on 22 September 2013 at the Parc
Merveilleux is a further testimony of ING’s commitment.

soon. In the meantime, we look forward already to experiencing The Color Run™ Luxembourg,
