An Invitation to a European Valuation Conference

VÖB HQ CONFERENCE CENTRE
Lennéstraße 11, Berlin
European Banking Union and Cross Border Valuation
The financial crisis in Europe and its resolution have been a turning point
for real estate because the reforms necessary to save the euro have armed
the EU with property market-shaping powers with game changing impact
on valuation. Whilst valuation practice in Germany and other countries is
derived from local laws and customs these are being unexpectedly altered
from above by the EU. The conference will deal with the impact of EU
legislation and Banking Union on real estate valuation and the effect of
these developments on Cross Border Valuation and German Valuation
Practice.
Speakers will include:
• Dr Jürgen Michels, Chief Economist, Bayerische Landesbank
• Jörg Quentin, Head of Valuation, Deutsche Pfandbriefbank
• M Lance Coyle, President Appraisal Institute (USA) and a Speaker
from Appraisal Institute of Canada
• Wolfgang Kälberer, Association of German Pfandbrief Banks
• Thorsten Schräder, Managing Director, Schräder GmbH Cologne
• Roland Vogel, Past President, BVS
• Silvia Cappelli, Vice President ASSOVIB (Italy) – Moderator
