Background Check Procedures for Breads of the World, LLC dba Panera Bread Background checks CANNOT be completed until an offer of employment or position has been made and accepted by the candidate (offer acceptance can be verbal). Background checks are required for the following positions: Manager Candidates Baker Candidates Shift Supervisor Candidates Key Holder Candidates Driving records are required for the following positions: (Also applies to candidates promoted from within the company.) Catering Coordinator Candidates Assistant Catering Coordinator Candidates Driver Candidates **The first driving record check is completed through the recruiting department. Once approved the associate will be responsible for submitting updated information as requested annually. General Manager or Assistant Manager, send the background check request via email to Linda Houser (linda.houser@breadsoftheworld.com) in Colorado or Jessica Peak (Jessica.peake@panerabread.com) in Ohio. Email request should have the following information: -­‐ -­‐ -­‐ Candidates full name Candidates personal email address Position the background check is requested for The candidate will be emailed a link within one business day to fill out personal information and authorize the background check online. The online form must be filled out by computer not on a cell phone. Once the candidate has completed the request for information online, a notification will be sent to Linda Houser or Jessica Peake and they will initiate the background check. Failure to complete all the information requested will result in a delay. The requesting manager is responsible for following up with the candidate to make sure they have completed the request for information and authorization. Once the background check is complete the manager/store will be notified of the results.
