GT-PRE/AP INDEX CARD BOOK REPORT Make an Index Card Book for the 4th six week's book report. This book report must be on a book you have read this six weeks. I must see you reading this book. Follow the directions below. You will need a 3x5 lined index card for each of the pieces of information below. Pay careful attention to good description, using adjectives and adverbs correctly. 1. Illustration related to the book 2. Title of book and author 3. Detailed Description of the setting-textual evidence, if there is more than one setting, choose the setting that the majority of the story takes place in. 4. Protagonist and description(s) -Textual evidence needed, at least 2 descriptions one physical and one personality. 5. Antagonist and description- Textual evidence needed, at least 2 descriptions one physical and one personality. 6. Author's purpose and tone 7. Complete explanation ( 2-3 sentences minimum) of the Conflictÿis it man vs. man, man vs. nature, man vs. society, man vs. self? 8. Briefly tell about 3 main events in the rising action - Use one card for each. 9. Complete explanation of the Climax-3ÿ4 sentences minimum 10. Complete explanation of the Falling Actiom2ÿ3 sentences minimum 11. Complete explanation of the Resolutiono3-4 sentences minimum. Remember explain how the protagonist has changed. 12. Vocabulary words and definitions o include a minimum of 5 new words and definitions 13. Three questions you would like to ask the author (related to the book) 14. Tell about your favorite part of the book and why it is your favorite. When you have completed your index cards, attach them together any way you would like. You might use a hole punch and then attach them using a key ring, a piece of yarn or string, a rubber band through the hole and then pulled through itself, or any other item that will keep everything together like a book.
