The OLPH School Annual Fund raised a total of
$444,458 to support the urgent needs and priorities of
students in 2013-2014 and continue to provide A Premier
Private Education in the Finest Catholic Tradition

In 2013-2014, the Dussman Scholarship Fund
raised $25,165 to ensure a Catholic education for
OLPH families facing hardship.

The Endowment Fund makes an annual
contribution of up to 5% of its principal
balance to the school. In 2013-2014, the
contribution was $162,744 to the school’s
general operating budget. The school
adjusted their reserves and reinvested
$75,000 to the Endowment Fund.

OLPH School students outperformed the national average on the
Terra Nova test, scoring in the top 15% of schools in the nation.
In the fall of 2013, ACT’s EXPLORE test was administered to our
eighth grade students who also outscored the national average.

Dear OLPH School Families & Friends,
We present this year’s OLPH School Annual Report. Once
again, it reflects the culmination of a full year of teamwork,
commitment and vision as leading members of our school
community implemented successful, effective fundraising programs
in support of the parish school we love.
Over the years, we have made big changes in the structure
of our school development programs. In doing so, we’ve met
ambitious financial goals and garnered the support of myriad
groups within our school community. We owe a great deal of
thanks to teachers and staff, board members, school parents,
parishioners, alumni, businesses, friends of the school, and some
wonderful grandparents for their generosity and belief in the mission of Our Lady of Perpetual Help School.

As support grows, so too does our dedication to maintaining
the fiscal integrity of our operating budget; especially during
these challenging economic times. As good stewards of our gifts,
we are proud of our efficient fundraising.
We hope this report clearly communicates how our financial
decisions have upheld OLPH as A Premier Private Education in the
Finest Catholic Tradition. In fact, every financial decision is
considered for its efficacy in supporting our mission and serving
the best interest of each one of our nearly 900 students.

 Established a school improvement plan through AdvancedED

 Provided the first two courses in Pillars of Catholic Faith for teachers

Misericordia, Catholic Outreach, Convent of the Holy Spirit, Sr. Paulanne’s
Needy Family Fund and our sharing parishes
 Prepared students for Sacraments of Reconciliation, the Holy Eucharist and

 Enhanced production value and musicianship of the All-School Musicale
