STOCK PITCH COMPETITION Investment Society is excited to bring you our very first annual Stock Pitch Competition! This is your chance to put yourself in the shoes of a Bay Street Analyst and pitch a stock to your Portfolio Manager. Working in Teams of 2–4 you will analyze Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT) and make a recommendation to BUY, SELL, or HOLD the stock. The top 5 Teams will present their pitch in front of a panel of Judges, including UTSC faculty and an Associate from Northland Wealth Management. Purpose The purpose of the Stock Pitch Competition is to provide an opportunity for students to learn and demonstrate the skills needed in analyzing, organizing, and presenting a publicly traded company as an equity investment. We strive to deliver a platform for students to apply skills and knowledge learned in the classroom while networking with industry professionals. Through this competition, we aim to provide students with an opportunity to gain exposure to a real life simulation of the role of an Equity Research Analyst by analyzing and pitching a recommendation to BUY, SELL, or HOLD the stock of a publicly traded company. Participants will also benefit from networking with industry professionals who participate in the competition as judges.
