The Model T By:Zachary Stearns The Model T is one of the most popular cars in the United States. Where would we be if we didn’t not have cars today? In this report,I will inform you about the inventor, what it looked like, and how it helps us today. To begin with, Henry Ford invented the Model T. It was also known as the “Tin Lizzie” or the Flivver. Built by the Ford Motor Company from 1913-1927, 15 million Model T’s were built in Detroit and Michigan. In 1914, Ford with 1,300 employees produced about 300,000 cars. In addition, Model T’s were made from several parts. First, 20 horsepower top speed of 40-45 miles per hour. The Model T also had 2 forward gears and no doors.Although, people had to sit on the left side because the Model T had left hand steering column. Likewise the 10 gallon fuel was located under the front seat. With the Model T it provided people with more transportation and further distance. The Model could have helped people in many different ways. It had a gas tank between 13 to 21 miles per gallon. The bigger the gas tank the more gas the tank could hold and would get people to places further away. With the Model T weighing only 1,200 pounds it can go further and faster. In conclusion, the Model T was a very interesting and well known car back then. It a lot of interesting facts such as, it was the first car. If the Model T was never invented, where would we today? The Model T helped invent modern cars throughout history.The Model T was the car that started the vehicle industry.
