2015 NJSLC Delegation Expectations
We are thrilled that you are going to represent Boston College at the 2015 National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference at Canisius College! The
dates of the conference are Wednesday, June 24 to Sunday, June 28, so please plan accordingly. Your travel has already been booked, and you have
been notified of departure and arrival times for traveling to and from the conference.
The following serves as a contract for your participation in the full conference, and outlines expectations for behavior while traveling and attending
NJSLC at Canisius College. By signing this form, you acknowledge that you have read and consent to the following expectations, and that you will
follow all Boston College policies throughout the duration of the conference.
If you fail to attend the conference, you will be required to reimburse the total amount paid for your trip to either the Office of Student Involvement or
the Office of Residential Life (whichever office your registration is through) at Boston College.
NJSLC 2015 Contract
Expectations of NJSLC 2015 delegates:
We will meet in front of St. Ignatius at 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 24, and return in the afternoon on Sunday, June 28. The Office of Student
Involvement booked your travel, however, you are responsible for coordinating travel to St. Ignatius on the 24th and from the airport on the 28th. All
transportation once we arrive in Buffalo will be arranged.
We will communicate all important information via email prior to the conference. Please read and respond to all pre-conference communication
promptly.
While attending the conference, delegates will represent Boston College and uphold the standards and values of the university. Delegates will also
actively participate in the conference, attend all available sessions, and interact with other attendees.
Conference delegates will engage in behaviors that are responsible and mature. Consumption of alcoholic beverages by delegates of any age (this is
an alcohol-free conference), use of illegal substances, and abusive or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the conference. Individuals
who are asked to leave will be responsible for their travel home and must reimburse the Office of Student Involvement or Office of Residential Life for
any related expenses incurred.
Conference delegates will be responsible for their room keys and any other belongings assigned to them as part of the conference. Lost keys may
result in charges to the individual responsible.
All conference delegates are expected to comply with the reasonable requests/direction of NJSLC staff members and clearly identified university
personnel (this includes campus security guards) in the performance of their assigned duties.
After attending the conference, each delegate will bring back what he or she learned and will be prepared to share his or her learning with the BC
campus community.

I, a member of the Boston College NJSLC 2015 delegation, have read and understand the aforementioned expectations of a student leader, and
agree to adhere to Boston College policies and these further guidelines during my participation at the National Jesuit Student Leadership Conference
at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. I am fully aware that failure to adhere to these expectations may result in my immediate removal from the
conference, disciplinary action, and a responsibility to reimburse all costs incurred as a result.
