HOW TO PLUG A V.35 CABLE (This document is valid for all the models that has a V.35 port. Differences in the interfaces are related to the specific model). USER SAFETY NOTICE Before making any operation, make sure that: 1) the router is turned off - 2) aerials, if present, are removed a) Objects needed Imola router, provided with a V.35 port b) Connectors details LFH60M DTE cable 34 pin connector DB-60 LFH Male connector WARNING! Pay particular attention to how you insert the DB-60 connector, because if you place it in the wrong way, even if you successfully plug it in, the data transmission will not occur. In addition, plugging the connector on the contrary it damages the pins and the cable will not work. b) Connecting the cable to the router 2) 3) Long side Short side 1) and 2) After you open the plastic envelope, take out the cable and remove from both connectors the plastic protection caps. 4) 4) Find the V.35 port on the router. 3) Notice the isosceles trapezium shape of the DB-60 LFH connector: keep the parallel short side down. 5) 6) 5) Plug the DB-60 connector on the V.35 port on the router. In the figure above you see a red trapezium, whose short parallel side is downward. That is the correct way to plug in the cable, so be sure that the connector has the parallel short side facing down.
