Fall: March 1 (Graduate students); Apr 1 (All others)

Winter: March 1 (Graduate students); Apr 1 (All others)

Application Process

1.

Partner university must nominate candidates through the partner portal: https://internationalprograms.studentlife.utoronto.ca/PartnerPortal/Login

2.

Then, the student must complete the online exchange application in the student portal: https://internationalprograms.studentlife.utoronto.ca/StudentPortal/Login

Restricted Programs

Concurrent Teacher Education Program (CTEP), the Co-op (work placement) program, and any Joint Program courses taught at

Centennial College (Paramedicine, Journalism, New Media Studies) are not available to exchange students.

Other programs — e.g., undergraduate Management and Health Studies laboratory classes — may have limited capacity for hosting exchange students

Full Course Load: 2.5 credits per semester

Graduate Level Exchange: 93 TOEFL IBT (+22 on writing/speaking), 7.0 IELTS

Undergraduate Level Exchange: 89 TOEFL IBT (+19 on writing), 6.5 IELTS (no band below 6.0)

Arrival Information

Suggested Arrival Date

Fall: to coincide with the upper-year residence student move-in date (TBD)

Winter: to coincide with residence re-opening in January (TBD)

Summer - If available: to coincide with summer residence move-in date (TBD)

Minimum Length of Exchange: One semester

Maximum Length of Exchange: Two semesters (two is common, but three may be permissible)

Accommodation Information

UTSC Student Residence is provides ~750 self-catered spaces on-campus to both international and domestic students. Students generally live in their own room with shared cooking and common areas, either in the Townhouses or Joan Foley Hall

Living Expenses and Financial Requirements

Health Insurance Requirements: UHIP is mandatory and costs $54/month
